The Argos system is a system that provides access to satellite data around the globe thanks to a French-American collaboration that spans over 45 years involving the French Space Agency (CNES) and the National Oceanographic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) with support from NASA.

Argos can connect devices anywhere using a variety of hardware ranging from ready-made trackers or modems that can be quickly integrated into a device.

Use cases support wildlife and herd monitoring and management, agriculture, oceanography, and climatology, and related cases.
