Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Atlassian Loom in order to record problems or issues we notice on our company website and/or app. It saves us time and helps us avoid unnecessary huddles or calls that could take longer than necessary. We also use it sometimes to discuss feedback on projects, tasks, or any other work responsibilities that require a more detailed discussion or explanation.

Record videos and screens to discuss issues or feedback
Provide 1.2x speed automatically to quicken the pace of the video
Edit recorded videos as needed

Cons

The background noise is always picked up even when wearing headphones
There's some delay whenever the recording button is clicked
A maximum of 5 minutes for free users feels a bit too limiting

When I had to record some issues or explain an issue with a project, Atlassian Loom allowed me to do it without having to jump on a call with the other person. It's especially helpful since we're in different time zones and they could just review the video whenever they're available.

We use it daily to share both solution news/updates that have an impact on our product, and also company news, from organizational changes to ask me anything events. It allows us to keep everyone informed in an async way. Personally, I use it a lot to share feedback on specific product features, or to explain complex situations in a simplified way.

Give a title and a summary automatically

Cons

I sometimes find it difficult to change screens while recording
More options to make your "bubble" tinier/different
The editing functionality could be easier too, it takes some time to figure out how to use it properly

I love it. I feel it could be useful in any context, particularly when talking about working remotely or simply globally. I think whenever there is a scenario in which a team is not working in the same room and following the same schedule, there is a great opportunity to improve things using Atlassian Loom.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Atlassian Loom ALL day to communicate with clients and employees, explaining processes, features, best practices etc.
I am able to address concerns and walk people through questions visually using Atlassian Loom. I am also able to cut down the number of meetings I have on a daily basis while still maintaining a personal touch with clients and my team.

Loom is a great tool to provide specifics in any communication while still keeping it asynchronous. We are a remote company and we believe time is valuable Loom is a great solution that falls in the middle of written vs live meetings. It allows us to provide details, share screens, and leave a record of the information so people can go back on their own time. Loom really became a key tool in our day to day

Cons

Loom can definitely join the AI trend and evolve the system to do other things and support businesses.
Loom can improve service quality, it happens sometimes that we record videos and these do not work or don't move past the processing phase.
Better storage and user experience when navigating previous videos. we rarely use it and i think they can do more with it. Like building company spaces or something.

Likelihood to Recommend

Loom is a must, I am not sure how many other tools like this one there are but Loom really becomes a key player in a team collaboration, specially if that team collaborates remotely or internationally. You can use the video links to embedded these in other places or downloadthem for editing.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I am a Senior Sales Rep for a boutique higher ed publisher. I use Loom to educate prospects and clients, as well as sell to them. I create general videos for use in campaigns or just as helpful "info" links. I create personal looms to answer specific questions professors ask, do demos and basically conduct sales business when a prospect either can't meet or I'm trying to re-engage interest. I also use Loom internally on occasion to support some of my leadership responsibilities within the sales team, ie showing the raffle winner for a participation meeting or showing another rep how to do something.

Pros

Recording is easy and seamless
I haven't had to edit much, but when I do, it's very simple
Access is easy
Embedding the video in email is really easy (increases opens)

Cons

Reporting - I'd like to be able to catch the email address where they clicked from so I could see specifics of who was watching videos (in the case of my general ones)

I do recommend Loom to colleagues. I have found it immensely helpful in providing simple ways for clients (in my case, mostly professors) to get the information they need from me. Loom is great for 'Show and Tell' type connection needs. I use it in selling, but not as much as in education. I think I need to learn more of the functionalities and options in order to speak well to that point, but it has been great for demos and connecting with professors I always seem to 'miss'.

I’m a web design educator and entrepreneur and use look literally every day. I use it to quickly share my screen and record educational videos for my students, content for social media, or how-to videos for my VA and team. It saves me so much time and keeps all my processes so organized. I have a separate Loom folder for each client or category, which means I can share a collection of videos with people quickly and easily. I also love the quick embedded gif-sharing feature, and the new AI title and description generation is awesome!

I have been using Loom the past two years for my bookkeeping business. It has been an excellent tool to show video of my desktop to go over clients' files to give them in-depth personalized instruction on their financial software. Prior to using Loom, I would have to do screen shares for clients in order for us to be on the same page, which could be time consuming. Now, I'm able to record at my leisure and send my clients a link for them to view on their own time. This has been a game changer for my business. My productivity levels are much higher now that I have added Loom to my tech stack.

With a (mostly) remote team, Loom is a must-have to collaborate and communicate. Loom enables our team to record videos to share updates, explain complex concepts, or provide feedback, eliminating the need for lengthy email threads or scheduling multiple meetings. This is especially helpful for the different timezones that we have, with marketing spread across East & West Coast USA, Europe, and now New Zealand and Australia.

Loom is literally the best free (or depending on your team size) tool that I have found in recent years honestly. I have a consulting practice on the side where we work in multiple timezones. Im not the best with words or explaining things over email, and im a much more visual person. being able to show somehow how to do something rather than explain it via email is HUGE. Its literall creating the office culture vibe over video, and its exactly what i need to help scale my consulting while also help provide training at my current job.

I present my proposals and also my work to my clients via Loom (since my customers are all over the world). By doing it this way, they have a clear understanding of what it involves, and It is more engaging.

Pros

The quality is good.
It is fast.
Allows to select part of the screen.

Cons

The price is too high now.
The trim option is not the best; sometimes, it's tricky to cut some parts.

Likelihood to Recommend

It is perfect for explaining issues, questionnaires, quizzes, or even errors. I also like the fact that users don’t need to log in to watch the recorded video. I don’t use it for course recording because my videos are long, and it's difficult to trim them, and there are not many options.

This is a great and simple tool for recording videos. It helps to share product ideas among the team to move faster around possible new developments. Create videos for internal training for different company areas before and after releases. And to share bugs with the different teams to help them get solutions faster.
