Microsoft Azure Analysis Services is best tool which is well suited for many type of scenarios. Like if the organization is dealing with a lot of critical data and need some better analysis and insights for that data then tool serves the best. It helps in depth analysis and getting the desired result which helps in making big decision for any organization. We can create role based access for sensitive data hence it is very helpful for security point of view. Helps in making the business more productive and taking decision based on facts. It is less appropriate for scenarios like where data amount is less and the solution is very costly and someone can get a cheaper solution. Also not suited for environment where user directory do not exist because without the help of user directory role could not be created hence proper utilization of this tool will not be possible.

We built a connector for this tool for customers to use when they want to get more insight into their consumer behavior or collect statistics related to certain actions in the product itself. Our goal was to build an easy connector that takes information from our software and sends it over to Azure Analysis Services.

It is really good when analyzing services. It works generally as expected and brings the same quality that is expected from every other Azure product. If you are a company or an user that puts a lot of focus on security and focus a lot on the matter that your data does not get leaked, then Azure Analysis Services is the way to move forward.

We use this product in our organization for Data modeling that is further used for BI tools and excels to get analytics. This data is then used for generating insights and taking actions accordingly.

Using this product, we can have semantic data models from all the sources whether it is Oracle or MSSQL. We can then connect to these models to convert data to excel, reports and use this as an input to Power BI tools. Also ad hoc analysis can be performed.

I've used this at two companies recently. It seems like when a truly large amount of data is needing to be stored in a cloud with the best security possible, Azure Analysis Services has been where we turn to. We love the security it gives our organization and how simple it is to use as well. Convenience is what I enjoy most as a user.

We would have many technical issues and glitches with previous similar providers but found that Azure Analysis Services can simply handle our workload and memory better. I remember we lost an account due to cloud issues not fully saving or corrupting some files. Granted, this is rare with any cloud but haven't had that issue with the same load of memory with Azure Analysis Services.

Great product for Analytics and Visualizations of Data. Easy to scale and very powerful. Can add Role based authorizations to the dashboards as well to limit who views what. Easy to connect to various types of data sources. It also has the option to export dashboards in PDF, etc. Should definitely try it out.

Azure Analysis Services is well suited when you have uniform data which you want to easily visualize and have a high level overview. it is very easy to use for business users as well who don't have to know anything technical to use this product. You can also connect it to various types of Data Sources.

Used by the whole organization to maintain the data in a cloud environment for scalability and moving towards Big Data implementation

Suited for companies that [have] been using Microsoft environment for reporting, maintaining data and would like to migrate to a Cloud environment. Also good for companies that [have] low to mid maturity on the cloud environment usage to get buy-in from the working members. Recommended for companies that would like an alternative to other vendors.
