What is Azure Percept?
Azure Percept, a service available in preview on Microsoft's Azure, is a solution for creating edge AI solutions, designed to enables users to accelerate edge intelligence from silicon to service. For instance, Azure Percept works with Azure Cognitive Services, Azure Machine Learning, and other Azure services to deliver vision and audio insights in real time.
Azure Percept hardware accelerators are designed with a hardware root of trust which interacts with a device TPM and attestation service to prove device identity and help ensure additional device security. Azure Percept also uses the Zero Trust security model, so users can help safeguard sensitive AI models and data in transit and at rest for edge AI solutions.
It can be started free, and is free in general while available in preview stage. Other related Azure services are paid for as they are used with Percept.
