It essentially acts as a first line of defense against email-borne threats. We use it solely for these purposes in our organization and allow users to view quarantined emails.

• Once combined with other Barracuda email products, this becomes the foundational piece to use.
• You need to have adequate training which they provide but takes a while to train up your staff to be fully functional.

We use the email security gateway with Microsoft 365 exchange. It is the email security for inbound and outbound emails. With Security gateway, we can apply policies and rules to filter spam and malicious messages and it does ATP. It addresses security concerns and compliance concerns. We also use a security gateway for DLP and appending taglines and footers to outbound messages.
