We use BetterWorks to keep track of our Objectives and Key Results. The platform allows linking our Objectives with those of the rest of our team, and with the rest of the company. I also use BetterWorks to assess my key results and their progress. It is part of our company strategy.
Pros
Plan and set quarterly objectives and key results.
Follow up progress on key results.
Link objectives within the organization.
Cons
The UX could be updated.
I sometimes get confused with color assessments and progress tracking.
Some functionalities are locked according to the type of user.
Would like to have an option to track specific to-do's.

BetterWorks really helps keep track of quarterly objectives, as long as the entire company follows the OKRs framework. The objectives and key results of each employee can be linked to the general objectives of the organization and that really helps align on the same mission. I wouldn't recommend using BetterWorks as a standalone platform to follow up on objectives if the rest of the organization is not on board with the OKRs framework.
We use BetterWorks for 2 purposes: OKRs management and employee performance reviews, including periodic company-wide performance evaluation and periodic 1:1 conversations and feedback sharing between managers and direct reports and peers.
Pros
Web based platform with everyone being able to access it anytime anywhere
Allows for company wide OKRs management and promotes transparency
Has some reporting functionalities
Cons
The platform is not very user friendly and requires training
Reporting is limited and has to be heavily customized to work for your organization

[BetterWorks is a] good fit for a 250+ employees company that implements firm wide KPIs/OKRs system to measure employee performance and track corporate goals and progress, promote transparency and accountability.
We used Hyphen company-wide. At the time, it was the only platform that we could find that allowed us to send text surveys to employees. Having the majority of our work force not be on a computer daily meant that we had to get creative in how we received feedback from our team. Hyphen was able to help us ensure that our workforce was happy, as well as to identify problems quickly and pinpoint any areas that we needed to further investigate. The team was great at helping us customize the platform, and really engaged with us to ensure that we had what we needed.
Pros
Customized platform
Ensured that we had the support we needed.
Engaged with us to ensure we could meet our team's needs.
Cons
The ability to respond back to our team members anonymously to dig deeper into issues.
Likelihood to Recommend
This platform is great if you have a larger workforce and want to take the temperature of different departments/locations. The easy to use text surveys were a hit with our team, as they literally could complete a survey within a few minutes and get back to their day.

We use BetterWorks to share top company goals, align team goals with our top goals, and have quarterly conversations about our goals and progress with our teams. Being able to see the goals across the entire company enables transparency and alignment among the cross-functional teams as well as our different departments.
Pros
Neat and easy to understand
Easy to sort by different critera
Shows how goals roll up in a tree/chart
Cons
It's sometimes hard to see ONLY your milestones and goals
Having more default units of measure might be nice (or being able to save your own custom ones)
Native integrations with software (like HubSpot) would be great

As a company that has nearly doubled in size in less than a year we've really had to make a conscious effort to over communicate and be transparent about or work to both stay focused and not duplicate work. BetterWorks has worked really well for us to be able to share progress, celebrate wins, stay focused, and collaborate across departments to best leverage our unique skills to achieve our top company goals. I'm not sure this kind of platform would have been necessary a year ago when we were much smaller (fewer than 50 people) but now that we're crossing 100 team members it's been...I'd say vital to keeping us on track.
The entire company uses BetterWorks to keep track of personal and team goals, while seeing how the company is progressing overall.
Pros
Team management
Quarterly reviews
Ability to track progress easily
The ability to view all company members' goals
Cons
A detailed tutorial would be useful, especially with real examples of goals related to the industry

It is great for small to medium sized companies that would benefit from BetterWorks. It encourages workers to improve their skills and grow as professionals on a team. I guess that it would not be as useful for large corporations that have well established teams and projects. The exception for large corporations would be to use it to track the progress of interns or newly hired workers.
