A great piece of software from a long standing player in the marketplace
Use Cases and Deployment Scope
When looking for a reliable, highly effective solution we settled on bitdefender as one of the main offerings. With the integration with products such as n-able, it also makes for the ideal centrally managed product for msp’s. Having previously worked with vipre we were very impressed with how well bitdefender performed in comparison, with less resource issues reported by clients. We have seen some false positives raised which can take a while to get investigated but we ultimately can’t blame bitdefender for all of these. Instead we tend to see that it’s likely poor or lazy development by 3rd party software companies. The overall solution isn’t anywhere near as sophisticated as products such as sentinelone but at the same time we feel this is also reflected in the price point. This product is much more likely to be within the budget of smaller businesses
