Business Problems Solved
Brandfolder is a cloud-based digital asset management system that has garnered praise from users for its ease of use and organizational capabilities. Users describe it as having an additional staff member on their team, helping to store, organize, and share all types of media both within and outside of their organization. The onboarding process is highly regarded, and the templating system allows designers to create pieces using Adobe products while also allowing users to edit certain parts of the design. The asset system in Brandfolder is also praised for its ability to stack multiple files together, making it convenient to keep related files connected. Users appreciate the detailed information they can add in the description field for each asset. Brandfolder has been instrumental in helping users transition from a disorganized state with assets scattered all over the place to having everything in one centralized location. The ability to set up naming conventions ensures consistency moving forward, and the option to restrict editing capabilities provides control over modifications. Brandfolder's integration with Adobe suite enhances performance and workflow for users who heavily rely on Adobe products. Additionally, Brandfolder is valued for its integration with other applications and overall good features. It helps marketing teams store various assets such as company colors, logos, images, articles, videos, and press information, making it easier to manage digital assets, store promotional materials, search for files, and share them securely within and outside the organization. Users also appreciate that Brandfolder helps keep their data safe and organized.
We use Brandfolder as our cloud based digital asset management system. We say that Brandfolder is like another fun time staff on our team. The ease of use, onboarding, organizing, sharing, and adding detail to our assets is amazing. We love that all types of media can be easy stored, organized and shared to anyone we want inside and outside of our organization easily and quickly. Their templating system is amazing that our designers can use Adobe products to design and layout pieces but allowing users to edit certain parts of the piece. The asset system is awesome that you can stack multiple files together which is great when you want to keep media releases and caption files with a video or multiple PDF versions stacked together. This keeps the view for the users clean but you can keep connected files together. We are able to add a ton of information about each asset in the description field as well.
Pros
Templates built in Adobe Indesign
Assets sharing
Collections to further curate assets
Asset descriptions to easily link to other asset locations
Stacked files to keep like files together
Cons
It would be nice to relate assets together to connect photos to a print piece
Attach files to multiple assets like a media release to multiple assets
Color code file types
The ability to change the grid size

It is so well suited for a cloud based DAM. It's loads so fast, works well in every browser. With remote work now it is so easily for our team to upload, organize, share, and view analytics on our assets. The best feature is the templating system which allows your designers to take what they design in Adobe Indesign and denote which areas are editable and it keeps the formatting, style, and fonts to the end user. The only other options on the market would require the designer to rebuild the design on a separate platform like Canvas. I wish the platform did more to help with handling videos. It doesn't display the runtime on a video, the specs, or play captions inline with the video. I also wish it would do media pushing to social media platforms.
Why do we use Brandfolder in our company? Well, the primary reason is that it integrates well with the adobe suite. Since we are big on using adobe products in our daily routine, Brandfolder further enhances the performance and improves our workflow. Management of digital assets is very important for any organization and we are no different. From organizing files to storing promotional material, search and sharing options, integration with other applications, and overall it has good features. That's why we use Brandfolder and if I'm not wrong it has helped us keep our data safe and organized.
Pros
It is particularly good for managing digital assets (internal & external).
Great user experience.
Great customer service. By the way, that is a big factor. I remember I was using another product but their customer service was poor and eventually, I had to say goodbye to it.
You can download files in a format that you like.
Cons
To be honest, I don't think there's much to say against it. The software is designed in a way that it does everything efficiently what's it's made to do. Some people may have something to say but I'm happy and I'd like to skip this question.
All boxes ticked.

Previously, we were completely disorganized, with assets scattered all over the place. Now, we have everything in one location, with naming rules in place to ensure that things remain the same moving forward. In addition, we have the ability to restrict the options that users have when it comes to modifying such resources.
Pros
Documents such as contact lists and cooperative programs
Featured listings, agents, and maps are just a few examples of creative advertising concepts
Provides organization
Cons
Finding something new isn't always easy; sometimes it just happens by coincidence
Enhance the speed and ease with which documents may be tracked down

When it comes to content, it is perfectly suited for a corporation with a lot of moving parts and components. Unless you care about content management and editing, I would not suggest this platform. A tiny corporation with single-person divisions would not necessarily benefit from this approach.

We were so unorganized before we started with Brandfolder, we had assets all over the place, now we have everything in one place and have set up naming conventions so that things stay the same moving forward. We are also able to limit the options that users have when it comes to editing those assets.
Pros
Organizations
Support
On boarding
Cons
Adding users
Editing user access
Deleting assets

It is well suited for a company with a lot of moving parts and pieces when it comes to content. If content organization and editing are not important to you then I would not recommend this platform. It would also not necessarily be a good all for a small company with single people departments.
Our marketing team uses Brandfolder to store all of our marketing assets including company colors, logos, images, articles, videos, press information, etc. It's a big repository of stuff.
Pros
It's really nice to have a place where we consider everything uploaded to be finished and useable material. Now when someone needs an image for something, they don't have to ask for it, they can just go grab it from Brandfolder.
Being able to search the whole collection and have different types of assets is fantastic.
Cons
If you have a large collection of images, like we do, and you go 2 or 3 pages deep and select an image, then close the image, the collection snaps back to page 1. It's pretty frustrating.

Great for organization and visualization of all marketing collateral. Great for sharing public facing assets with everyone, including external parties.
For me, Brandfolder is a resource for managing publishers. I use it for market materials and ideas. This includes media kits, flyers, articles, ad design ideas and templates. I also use it for documents and the list of company contacts. It is an extremely valuable resource.
Pros
Fresh ideas for annual media kit for Homes & Land and Estates & Homes.
Ad ideas, such as Featured Listings, Agents, Maps.
Company documents such as co-op program, contact lists.
Valuable articles to include in magazines.
Cons
Make it easier faster and easier to find documents.
Make it easier for managers to obtain documents when they do not have the skill level or programs to access documents (i.e. flyers) for immediate use.
We are always looking for new ideas. There are times that things are updated and change, however, we are not aware of it. Sometime we have to search hard for it and other times I may come across something new simply by chance.
