Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Brightpod to manage tasks for our digital marketing agency clients, interacting both with internal and external resources on task management. Some of our projects are made accessible to our client teams as well.

Pros

Ability to easily review the resolution path when multiple participants contribute to a solution.
Good search functionality to find tasks based on keywords.
Good archival access for closed tasks and pods.

Cons

Cannot open files right from Brightpod, have to download first. Would be great to at least be able to preview/view in advance.
File organization within a pod seems clunky, so it is difficult to organize and classify, as well as to find/access previously uploaded files.

Likelihood to Recommend

I like Brightpod. We used their previous product, DeskAway, which we actually liked a bit more for our needs (cannot remember why now as we've found workarounds over the last three years!). It is good for us, and we need to organize multiple task lists for multiple clients. We need to be able to monitor task progression and completion, as well as to track time by resource. We need to prioritize and focus our resources, and we need to review time tracking/performance reports. All possible in Brightpod. We especially like the access we can give to clients, which is on a task list basis, so they can see some task lists in their pod but not others, which allows us to not overwhelm them with unnecessary info, but at the same time, accomplish the detailed tracking we need.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We used Brightpod for managing projects and managing client work. It was central to managing and assigning tasks and making sure that everything was done on time. For managing teams, freelancers, and contractors brightpod allows everyone to see exactly what they need to do, by when and communicate with managers when there are questions.

Pros

A very visually pleasing layout of projects in a Kanban style view.
Keeps all communication on a task or project in one place, so that everyone is on the same page.
Great template system for recurring projects like onboarding or deploying a specific service that has a defined timeline.
Flexile recurring tasks.

Cons

They really need a chat or instant messenger feature.
iOS app would be nice.
The option to remove the delay for sending messages on a task.

Likelihood to Recommend

Brightpod is best suited for someone that needs a project management software with recurring projects that can be templated. I'm not sure of a situation where this would be a good fit. There may be some features that are required that brightpod doesn't have like Gantt chart. Some teams may not want a Kanban style view.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Brightpod because we have 5 people that are all located in different cities. It allows us to facilitate communication between all of the individuals. The interface for the web application is very easy to navigate, we have some people that are over 70 years old and they are comfortable with using Brightpod. Overall it is a great project management tool.

The design is well-thought out and easy to use for managing the team planning and execution for our company marketing projects.
We use Brightpod for blogging and marketing.

Nothing yet...those things that I would like the app to improve or add are addressed immediately.
