So our staff is distributed all over Germany and sometimes all over the globe. So we have many virtual conferences and if you have a small screen, it's very exhausting to review all these video sessions. So the Desk Pro has a large stream and excellent audio quality. So I enjoy quality and it's not so exhausting to follow on meetings and it's a better picture and video, audio quality. And of course if we have negotiations now with clients, with partners, I'm more present in the room.
Pros
So the product, you can use WebEx conferences as well as Microsoft Teams conferences. This is very good because in the past it was only built for WebEx, WebEx platforms but since a couple of months it's certificated for Microsoft Teams as well because many clients and partners have changed their collaboration platform and team Microsoft Teams is the most common platform in the business world today.
Cons
So the quality of the surface of the panel for the volume and all this stuff could be better. So there is the louder button stick sometimes and it's becoming very loud, but I can't do it less. Then I need to switch off the whole system because So loud. Yeah, so the logical function is perfect, but the physical surface and all this stuff could be better.
Likelihood to Recommend
The other advantage of the product is that you could use it as a conference system as well as a screen for your PC. So I'm working with three screens and one of these screen is the Desk Pro, so I do not need another screen. So it's saving space in my desk and it's high quality. So this is the plus function.
We use it in smaller meeting rooms or as a personal system. So you can connect easily to Cisco meetings or make a Cisco one on one call, with the person you need. Very helpful is the option to create a Weblink. In some rooms we’re using the desk pros with hot desking.
Pros
Screen
Camera
set as personal system
Cons
Little bit heavy
Change the positon
Likelihood to Recommend
- small meeting cabins good - as a system for a big meeting meeting room and on a steel stand is really not a good idea - it’s a really good upgrade for the old DX80 system - the system should be not so heavy, so we can easily change the position
We use it on personal devices or the Cisco Desk Series for smaller rooms at the offices across the organization. The desk mini works wonders, but the config side of things should be available on the actual system instead of logging into a browser to alter some information.
Pros
Small meetings
Good video and audio
Cons
Have Miracast without having a Ethernet cable installed
The config portal directly in the system
Likelihood to Recommend
I use it daily and it helps to have good audio and video
We use the product to connect internally and externally. That helps us with bridging the divide between distance. So I'm in a remote part of Australia and I'm able to connect and collaborate with people all over the world.
Pros
I think it's best in class in terms of its quality
The ease of use is up there as well
Cons
My biggest gripe with the Desk Pro is that using it as a monitor, the response rate is slow. So that can be not great.
Likelihood to Recommend
I think it's best suited for a small little one person conference room where you're just making video calls. It's less suited to someone at home that uses it as their primary monitor for working.
We use Cisco Desk Series devices for small shared office spaces, and also for doctors to remote dial in to regional hospitals. The far end camera control to enable the clinicians to zoom in to see patients injuries or conditions is extremely helpful in performing diagnosis, especially in parts of Australia where there are no doctors available locally in some remote places.
Pros
Large TelePresence Screen
Great camera
Ability for Far End Camera Control
Cons
HDMI port can only be used for display of shared content
These are the desk phones that we have laid out at everyone's desks between our corporate offices, our nuclear pharmacies, our distribution centers. They're placed in areas of importance, especially when it comes to our nuclear areas. There has to be a dedicated phone within there that could reach out in case anything was to happen. So that way we can get emergency services in. So it's way of being able to do business as well as making sure that everyone building is still safe so that way they can still call out for emergency services.
Pros
It gives the added function of having multiple lines we can set up called pickup groups or music on hold, so that way it best suits whatever facilities need to have. We can set that up and it works for them on different types of phones. We also have, since Covid, everyone has gone home to work from home and we have our knock who needs to reach out in case of anything. So they needed to have VPN capabilities. So our older models of the 7942s have VPN capabilities for them to be able to also work from home.
Cons
The handset switch breaks very easily, especially the amount of times picking up and putting down the phone. And if you get off of a really bad call that anger hangup does not do well.
Likelihood to Recommend
Where it's well suited, I kind of covered this earlier with our different areas, being able to call out to emergency services, be able to accept phone calls from all the different patients that need to have their medications. And with some of the medications it has an hour from compounding to delivering before it expires. So having that desk phone is very key to making sure patients are getting their needed medications or it's not so suited. I don't think that there really is a place where it's not suited because you need a phone to be able to do business.

I use the Cisco Desk Series Pro device at home in my office when I work remotely. It allows me to collaborate with other individuals who are either in the office or remote.
Pros
Video collaboration
Sharing of the desktop
Audio and Video calls when collaborating with other individuals
Cons
The size of the unit is big and requires a lot of desk space
It monitors and reports environmental data on my home office
Likelihood to Recommend
The new unit is well suited to collaboration and I am able to use it as a monitor for my desk as well.

I use the Cisco Webex Desk Pro several times a day for Webex, Teams, and Zoom meetings. Very versatile, easy to use. One button to push to enter my meetings is priceless. Easy interface to navigate, and the quality is outstanding. The touch interface and whiteboard feature are very helpful to sketch ideas and mark up docs.
Pros
Ease of use.
Great audio and video quality.
Versatility. I can use it standalone or as an extra display.
It looks awesome.
Cons
The WebRTC function that's used for certain meeting types should include a progress bar. A lot of users think the device is frozen.
At entry, the price was a bit high. I haven't bought one recently.
More backgrounds would be nice.

With remote work, COVID, etc., we had a need to conduct interviews while social distancing. This device works perfectly to remove the "techie" portion of joining a meeting from an end user. It's as simple as pressing a big green join button. Hanging up is just as easy. I will say that it works best when registered to the Webex control hub.
I have and use a number of different video conference devices and applications at my desk. The CCisco Webex Desk Pro is, by far, the device I choose over the others. It's simple, easy to use, with high quality video and audio. I particularly like the touchscreen speed dialing for calling other users and the ability to add multiple people to the collaboration. The white board capability is particularly useful for sharing ideas and in promoting working sessions where everyone can "step up to the whiteboard" and add their ideas.
Pros
Very good high quality video and audio
Ability to whiteboard and share ideas
Touch screen calling
Cons
The device also doubles as a display screen for my computer. It can be annoying to have to reach over the desk and use the touch screen to switch between displaying PC driven content and using it as a video conferencing system.
Likelihood to Recommend
People needing a single high quality device that handles Webex, Microsoft Teams, and other video collaboration systems will find it very useful.
