Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We needed a data streaming platform to support real time data ingestion to our data lake environment. This real time data supported client facing in store and digital use cases for sub second api call classification or product promotions. As well, we looked for a partner who could replace our current technology on Azure and Confluent was able to do so at a global enterprise level.

Data streaming transformation reducing compute expenses on lake and warehouse environments
Transfer large size data segments

Cons

Cloud based Azure platform features for Confluent lacks behind AWS And GCP

Likelihood to Recommend

If you have a need to stream data, real time or segmented structured data then Confluent is a great platform to do so with. You won't run into packet transfer size limitations that other platforms have. Flexibility in on-prem, cloud, and managed cloud offerings makes it very flexible no matter how you choose to implement.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

The Confluent platform is currently being used by my company in the whole enterprise level. As a health care company, we need to improve interoperability between different departments and their vendors. By using the Confluent platform, we can quickly set up the messaging system and build event-driven applications, and it really helps our development.

Pros

Products work great.
Training is available.
Customer support is good.

Cons

Cloud service might need more granular configuration.

If your company needs to build event-driven applications, like in healthcare industry, you need to enhance interoperability, and you are seeking a reliable service with enterprise-grade support, Confluent is the best on the market you can get. Their product works great and they provide very good customer service.
