We use this application for market monitoring activities, as part of digital commerce activities, it has been of great help to carry out tests and marketing campaigns, which has allowed us to generate personalized and specific content. Coveo Qubit's services have allowed us to overcome limiting situations regarding designing and testing campaigns with a high impact on our organization and for our clients.
Pros
It has been a pleasant experience with the support team, since we have received almost immediate responses, this has undoubtedly improved greatly, not only in response time, but also in its quality, since they provide clear guidance on particular situations and there is receptivity to possible suggestions regarding some processes.
The test format is constantly evolving, being of great help, since it is possible to implement new ideas or apply new resources and the platform adapts to our requirements, quickly, efficiently and proactively.
The possibility of personalizing experiences, with segmented and customer-specific elements.
Cons
It is complex to generate reports that allow you to cross-reference results in customer segments on the site.
Provide automated test progress reports and dashboards in an accessible format to share progress with other workgroups or customers.
Perhaps more user-friendly templates, to incorporate non-specialist teams into testing activities in this type of programs, which could well contribute to improving the experience and the scope of the objectives worked with the application.

Coveo Qubit is a very helpful platform mainly for organizations that need to provide a solid business model before carrying out any implementation or new functionality. In addition, it is a very good tool to generate changes and show different content to different types of clients, with their personalization and segmentation criteria. It is ideal for simultaneous testing and customization, only one of these activities individually is not recommended.
We use Qubit for local messaging, A/B testing and product recommendations on the home and product pages. It is just used in the eCommerce department, it is a huge part of our website and on-going strategy.
Pros
The team is strategic and gives great advise and direction.
The back-end system is easy to use and manage.
Cons
There should be more templates so that people without HTML skills or knowledge can create tests. I do believe this is being developed.
Likelihood to Recommend
Qubit has a great team that advises with new tests we can do. They come to our offices and we have a a strategy meeting to see how we can improve the business. They are good at giving examples of success with other vendors and why we should do the same test. I have seen businesses use Qubit as a CMS which it isn't; I feel that they need to encourage their clients to get their development team to implement the test rather than just have it live on in Qubit.
Qubit is currently being used by our Omnichannel and Digital department to set up new experiences, test new experiences, understand trends and finally make an informed decision to go for a permanent solution on our website platform. It currently solves our key problem of lead time to have experiences set up and running on our website platform as it requires releases whereas Qubit provides a way of doing it almost immediately.
Pros
Ease of use
Knowledgeable support resources
Super low time to market for experiences
Cons
Missing: Industry suggestions for new experiences, suggestion of goals for existing experiences
Missing: Email preview links functionality
Missing: Enhanced design tool to do basic design related experiences on Qubit itself
Likelihood to Recommend
Well Suited: Tag management, personalized experiences, segment study, marketing campaigns, seasonal design upgrades, quick corrections on website, industry trends Not appropriate: Heavy front end changes
We currently use Qubit in the optimisation section of the Digital department. It enables us to test out new functionality and/or things we think we solve problems customers are having before going forwards with the costly & timely process of implementing them on the site. We also have recently started using Qubit to segment our customers and serve them personalised content.
Pros
Customer segmentation
A/B & multivariant testing
Social Proof
Cons
Easier to use javascript / HTML / CSS editor
Automated personalisation
Likelihood to Recommend
Qubit is well suited for companies who need to provide a strong business case before implementing any new functionality / changes to their website. It is also great for making in-day changes and showing different content to different types of customers
I wouldn't recommend it if you wanted to do only testing or only personalisation - it works best and is most cost effective when doing both together
Qubit is primarily being used by Digital Product team to facilitate A/B testing and mitigate risk when rolling out new product features and designs.
Pros
Qubit platform uses solid testing algorithms and delivers reliable reporting and analytics of testing campaigns. The dashboard section is easy to use and provides a good high level overview of the core campaign metric performances.
On-boarding and implementation of Qubit technology was painless and well handed throughout the entire process even with more complicated platforms.
Turn-around time for development and testing of campaigns is extremely fast. This enables the business to have a much higher throughput of tests and allows for quick validation of ideas rather than having to wait for months before a test is ready to go live on production site.
Cons
Self-serve tool is very basic and does not allow simple text changes or basic CSS modification of existing elements on a page. There is always a balance between reliability of code vs features of the editor, however it would be nice to have more basic editing options available in the visual campaign builder.
It would be nice to have more options to segment the analytics in the reporting tool. Qubit has now introduced full export of the data via their insights section via CSV which allows further analysis. Other providers offer the option to segment via technology (browser/device) or visitor attributes right within their basic reporting tool which is a nice way or drilling down large amounts of data.

Qubit platform is simple enough to understand for companies that are just starting an optimisation and personalisation programme, but powerful enough to scale and deliver lots of tests easily. Most of the 'tech' happens behind the scenes. There are other suppliers that focus more on complex statistical configuration, but we found that the way Qubit surfaces the data is reducing complexity and makes it easy to understand and helps focussing on improving customer experience.
We are using Qubit primarily to create experiences and run our A/b and MVT test programme. As well as this, we utilise other products of theirs such as behavioural recommendations and also take part in beta programmes. We are aware of personalisation capabilities however, this is something we are only using in a limited capacity at the moment but plan to take more advantage of in the future.
By being able to test solutions to different problems that we identify, as wall as try out new ideas, Qubit helps us to minimise risk and ensure that we not only increase our profits but also, and more importantly, deliver the best experience for our customers.
Pros
The testing platform itself is continually evolving. This means that we are always able to try new ideas as well as quickly and efficiently put others into practice.
The beta programme and the additional functionality products are both exciting to see as well as ensuring we can cherry pick the functionality we need. This means that we don't end up paying for functionality we don't need
Cons
While they do work very closely with us, especially our success manager, more involvement on a technical level or a dedicated engineer, would be a great advantage. We develop a lot of experiences in house and, like all companies that dev in house, we have our own way of working. A dedicated engineer that got to know us better as well and understood how we work could only help. Sometimes, a few errors can get through QA due to this.
Likelihood to Recommend
Qubit are very well suited to developing/implementing testing, data analysis and personalisation. They have extensive knowledge across the business which they obviously draw on when required. Very good service overall, they are focused on helping us achieve our business goals using their technology and do approach us with new opportunities while not being pushy for additional business. Would recommend Qubit for anyone looking for not just a platform to run tests/personalisation but a partner.
It is used by the e-commerce department to improve site UX, A/B split tests and implement new features such as social proofing. It enables us to test things before we commit to a permanent change in addition to building bespoke customer experiences for key marketing events like Christmas and Valentine's Day.
Pros
It works well across responsive platforms.
It can build bespoke and targeted experiences for customer segments and display relevant content in order to increase conversion.
From a customer's perspective, all Qubit experiences are implemented in the style of your website; the customer journey remains seamless.
Cons
They struggle to juggle our international and UK workload simultaneously. The UK often takes precedence because it is a larger proportion of our traffic.
The experiences aren't always user friendly enough. Especially when they contain a lot of Javascript.
It can take too long to update experiences - but we are an inpatient brand!
Likelihood to Recommend
Qubit suits us because we don't have an in-house development team so it enables us to build A/B tests before we spend money making permanent changes with our agency. They push our creative boundaries and support us in offering on brand and out of the box experiences for the likes of Christmas etc.
Qubit is used within the e-commerce team to serve targeted functionality, segment live visitors and test UI and UX theories. Currently, it is being used widely to improve international personalisation.
Pros
Qubit provides a platform to quickly implement ideas for functionality and gives summarised results to validate (or invalidate) UX theories.
Qubit allows relatively easy segmentation of our audience so that we are able to conditionally affect our site for visitors.
Qubit offers a mix of simple and advanced tests that can range between very broad segments of our audience and extremely specific ones if necessary. We often use simple experiences to serve time-limited features onsite.
Cons
Some of the reporting within Qubit has been overly simplified in the past, a point they are continually addressing.
At times the syntax of experience (test) creation can be specific to Qubit and so there is a slight learning curve for developers.
Unless developers have much time to allocate to creating tests in Qubit, marketers may potentially find simple tests limited. I would recommend having someone in-house as we do.
Likelihood to Recommend
Qubit is well suited to a medium size organisation with enough resources to fire tests frequently and act on findings as they become available. An important detail to remember is that final implementation is often quite different to testing, so the ability to then transfer winning variations to your live projects is crucial!
Qubit is used to create either A/B tests or personalisation experiences. A/B tests are typically developed by a dedicated person in the Tech team, based on a marketing request. They are not meant to be reusable. Personalisation experiences (e.g. banners, marquees, etc.) are created by a dedicated person in the Tech Team, based on a marketing request. They are then reused and modified by the marketing team to update the copy, images, triggers, etc.
Well suited when used by an engineering team to build test or complex personalisation experiences, including with complex segmentation / trigger rules. Not suited to be used as DIY tool by marketers with limited/no technical knowledge. Not suited for server-side testing, including pricing tests. Not suited for complex A/B or MVT tests, due to limited control over test parameters.
We use Qubit at the ecommerce department for delivering new experiences to the users, going one step further through personalization and improving current user experience of the whole site - all with a powerful short time to market.
Pros
Segmentation
Personalization
Ideal for both advanced and non advanced users
Cons
Could include more programming features for advanced users
Could improve platform performance
Could have better integration with third parties
Likelihood to Recommend
Qubit is quite powerful in terms of segmentation. The data engine behind the tool is able to gather tons of data and serve it ready for building experiences dedicated to certain users.
