Use Cases and Deployment Scope
We are using Cyberoam security service in our organization's IT department. Cyberoam firewall security scan network data based on source and destination IP criteria so that it can allow or block request for Internet or network access to protect from viruses. Cyberoam makes it easy for our Network administrators to grant network limited access, bandwidth, and software/URL/application access based on the user's identity to company employees.
Pros
- Firewall logs is good thing that provided by Cyberoam.
- Alerts and logs provided for different type of attacks and actions taken.
- Ease of use functionality.
Cons
- Cyberoam doesn't have enough signatures to detect all sites that need to be blocked.
- Costing is high comparatively other firewall providers.
- significantly increasing cost factor for maintenance contract.
Likelihood to Recommend
Our organization found that Cyberoam is a cost-effective solution compared to other vendors. Cyberoam was having issues with SSO for Web Filtering. For, web filtering and application blocking, Cyberoam does not contain enough signatures or data so we can not achieve the goal of all of the sites that need to be blocked. Cyberoam is great because of its ease of use feature.
