D-link Ethernet Switches are an amazing solution

Pros

  • It's a secure, manageable, smooth solution for small- and large-scale organizations.
  • Port range of FA, 1G, and 10G in both fiber and copper.
  • Energy saving, very low power devices, amazing on UPS backup (at remote locations).
  • Excellent reliability--we used D link in open environment without an IP ratted rack and have no performance issues at all.

Cons

  • VLAN's management could be easier if POS for management were available.
  • Configuration in CMD mode like Cisco.
  • There are issues when configurations are complex. A little network monitoring tool (GUI based) must be used.

Return on Investment

  • My network requirements/objectives are fulfilled by D-Link Ethernet Switches.
  • ROI impact is positive.
  • Best for small- and large-scale networks as a very cost effective solution.

D-Link Ethernet Switches: High functionality, low investment!

Pros

  • Access control via VLANs
  • Relatively easy configurations
  • Application of functional QoS

Cons

  • Poor Graphical Interface
  • Switching between PoE and direct power does not work well, causing several reboots on the device
  • Slightly poor equipment housing quality

Most Important Features

  • Its installation is incredibly simple, even a layman on the subject is able to operate it.
  • Equipment compatible with several other makes and models.
  • Possibility to work with IPv6 is a feature that is extremely important for us, and the equipment has it.

Return on Investment

  • Reduction of oscillations in the network caused by repeater equipment (which was replaced by D-links).
  • Low cost of implementation and acquisition, making it possible to acquire a sufficient quantity to meet the entire park and demand.
  • Due to its low price, we have no losses with maintenance, and can simply purchase other equipment for replacement.
