We use Dayforce Powerpay to process payroll for our employees. In addition, Dayforce Powerpay easily submits required remittances to Canada Revenue Agency as well as preparing and filing T4 and other required reporting. The system delivers pay statements and tax forms directly to employees through Self Service.

Dayforce Powerpay makes it easy for smaller organizations to maintain an accurate payroll system, send remittances to Canada Revenue Agency and remain compliant with the Income Tax Act. Dayforce Powerpay platform is easy to use and there is great phone support and customer service to help if needed if you are unsure how to use the system. I recommend Dayforce Powerpay for small and medium sized organizations.

Our business uses Dayforce as its payroll processing system. We needed a system that was straightforward to use for both the payroll administrator and our employees. Dayforce is a solid payroll processing system. It's always been reliable and straightforward. However, where Dayforce shines is in its customer support. I have used a few other systems that do the same thing but cannot touch the level of superior customer service that Dayforce provides. Customer service has always been knowledgeable, concise, polite, and professional—they are what keep me as a customer!
As a small not-for-profit association, Dayforce Powerpay is a wonderful, right-sized tool for our needs. With a small number of employees, it is important for us to have an easy-to-use and high-support payroll tool. Every time I seek support from Ceridian, I am impressed. Their experts are pleasant, knowledgeable, and very patient. I can't recommend Dayforce Powerpay enough!
Pros
Automated payroll.
Calculates deductions accurately.
Easy access to reports.
Cons
None.

I am not a CFO or payroll expert, but rather the Executive Director of a small not-for-profit. The Dayforce Powerpay tool is easy for me to navigate and use. When I need support, it is always available.
We use Dayforce Powerpay for our semi monthly payroll, it let's us do so with ease and accuracy, while taking almost no time to do entries or updates that may need to happen for each payroll run. Minimal scope, it covers the basics, but let's us include what we need to and automates the federal and provincial remittances.
Pros
Timely
Accurate
Automated
Cons
Allowing adjustments to be made outside of a payroll run, so they are captured at the time, not having to be written down and remembered for the next run.
Likelihood to Recommend
Works well for companies that don't experience multiple changes every payroll.

We have been using Dayforce Powerpay for several years now and our company changed owners and Dayforce employees helped us set up the new company and new ownership. They took care of adding all employees to the new account and take care of our old account. It was a very detailed process and I am grateful they were able to help us out so much. They followed up via phone calls and emails and due to our businesses odd hours, it was difficult to follow up with calls, but the emails were all very detailed and we appreciated it very much. They walked us through all the processes and every time we needed help, there was someone to talk to or they would follow up if they couldn't answer our questions right away.
Pros
Providing live help when needed
In-depth tutorials and help on their website
Easy to use interface
Simple layouts
Cons
Able to see employee information without having to open a new pay run
Able to download mass reports instead of one at a time

We are a small business - and even though we are small and don't make near use of all of the options in the program, I love it because all my remitting is done for me, all the calculating, all the vacation pay, holiday pay, overtime, everything is kept track of really well and I don't have to worry about missing information if I was to do this myself. I also love the direct deposit options and my employees love it and the paystubs and the ability to put messages on their paystubs! I honestly can't think of a scenario where Dayforce Powerpay wouldn't be suitable!! I wouldn't change companies, even if it saved me money as I love all the functions, the information and the ease of ROE and T4's.
I use Dayforce Powerpay to manage payroll for my small team. It helps me confidently manage statutory deductions, contributions, and tax forms. I have ZERO training in payroll, and this platform is so well-built and intuitive that even I can do payroll correctly every time! Whenever I run into an issue or I screw something up, I know I can count on the customer service reps - they are indeed the best I have encountered. They know precisely how to help you and do so in a way that is efficient without making you feel like an idiot.
Pros
Customer service.
Reminders about changes to statutory deductions and other fees.
Quick (!) delivery of payroll stubs.
Comprehensive documentation.
Easy to use website.
Cons
A glossary of terminology would be nice.

Dayforce Powerpay is ideal for any organization that does payroll! Any size will benefit from this platform. To do payroll right, you must have the support and knowledge base of a tool like Powerpay. It takes care of the complexity and nuances of each employee you manage.
We’ve been using Power Pay for more than 20 months and find it very reliable and user-friendly. We process hourly pay for approximately 1000 employees and salaried pay for approximately 400 employees. Employees have access to employee self-service for pay statements and tax forms.
Pros
Timely accurate payroll previews.
Easy to process records of employment.
Excellent general journal reports.
Cons
User defined reports.
Ability for client to enter previously deducted CPP and EI.
Likelihood to Recommend
It is easy to process pay and handles garnishments very well. We’ve found the product to be very reliable and very user-friendly. The record of employment functionality works well with very few errors. We’ve run many extra pay runs with great success. We can import large volumes of detailed data.
We use Dayforce for payroll purposes. It easily allows us to input employee timesheets, expenses, bonuses, etc. It also lets us issue T4s and ROEs, etc. Dayforce helps us ensure everyone gets paid and keeps records of all hours, expenses, bonuses, RSPs, and other payroll-related information.
Pros
Timesheets.
Support chat.
Reporting
Cons
RSP payments (rather than just tracking).
Likelihood to Recommend
I like Dayforce's timesheet inputs. I like that there is both the rapid entry and the timesheet tabs. It's easy and quick, and it makes a lot of sense. I wish Dayforce would pay out RSP payments, rather than log them only. It would eliminate a step for us and make things faster. But it's only once per year, so not a huge issue.
Payroll processing, payroll issues eg ROE creation/amendment, tracking employee expenses/reimbursements, year end reports/T4's, employee history/profile info.
Pros
ROE creation and amendment
Self Service
T4
the layout for entering time
payroll/year end reports
Security Log
Payroll Preview Report - details at a glance
Menu setup navigation
Cons
Adjustment - Reversal sometimes gives an error
Emergency Contact Comments field - would be nice if it would accept more characters in this field
A warning that 'no ROE will be created' popup when EI or other related fields are marked Exempt
Rate history on an employee's page would be nice
Likelihood to Recommend
Data entry for inputting hours, creating ROE's, year end reports. Can't think of where it would be less appropriate, it's nice to have robust functionality.
