Use Cases and Deployment Scope

PowerMax is the successor to the VMAX line of arrays and continues along iteration in Dell EMC's Symmetrix product line, which has been around for nearly 30 years and is the gold standard for enterprise storage. It is extremely fast, reliable, and efficient. The Unisphere management interface is faster and easier to use than previous generations. All the expected data services are there: Snapshots, QoS, replication, deduplication, compression, etc. PowerMax is a standard rack-mount configuration that co-exists in the rack with any other hardware, unlike previous generations that required its own cabinet(s)."
