Dell EMC VMAX All Flash Storage is very powerful storage. We use this storage in our cloud and AIX servers environments to maintain the data IO process speed. This storage response time is excellent, and Performance is much better.

Dell EMC VMAX All Flash Storage alloww to migrate the data from other storage easily.
Dell EMC VMAX All Flash Storage provides the hybrid cloud solution, we are using this storage in our cloud setup, and we have achieved our targets.
This storage provides lots of good functions and features that help to improve the production business like Data Security, High uptime, Performance, dual controller, and data compression.

Cons

We did not face any major challenges or issues with this powerful storage. Vendor support is good.

Dell EMC VMAX All Flash Storage is always up and running during the updates because it creates a redundant connection from controllers.
Dell EMC VMAX All Flash Storage increase the system stability which helps to increase the production productivity.

Cons

To use and operate the Dell EMC VMAX All Flash Storage, users must have a good experience, and GUI should more easy to use in all its functions.

We are using this storage in our production environments to support critical applications and databases. This product consolidates the high-demand transaction processing and decision support workload by leveraging advanced 3D NAND flash. this storage provides excellent performance growth in a hybrid cloud environment.

On my account we have used it only in one region for specific site.There was a specific contract between Dell and the client. Decision was made with this type due to VMAX NDM feature as many data had to be migrated. It works well for UNIX VMs under vSphere environment.

DEll EMC VMAX 250 is usable for independent customer not worrying about different technologies, which are not so popular (contrasted to IBM, Pure Storage, HP). But on the other hand not for small companies due to costs and business needs. Supporting this type is easy, once configuration has been completed. With presented features it's great storage array.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

This is used as one of our main storage arrays. It works fairly well for virtual servers and attaching new volumes. This is great because it is fully redundant and can stay up during updates with little to no issues since it has so many controllers. It addresses the snapshot stun issues that our SC9 compellant was having with our database servers.

Pros

It creates a fully redundant connection from multiple controllers that are always up even during updates.
Once setup there is little to no adjustments that need to be made to the storage array. All that's needed is volume updates.

Cons

The configuration portion is really difficult. If you are not a fully trained Dell storage admin you won't be able to setup this array.
The GUI is stuck in the 90's and has very little user-friendliness.

Likelihood to Recommend

This really depends on how you want to use it. If you are a large-scale corporation that needs to have a highly scalable and high I/O usage this is a fantastic array. If you do not have static storage admin that centralizes on EMC storage than this could be a difficult array to manage.
