Use Cases and Deployment Scope

As a global company with (virtual) servers located in many locations and different domains, keeping track and logging has become a simple solution with Remote Desktop Manager.
Each server or group of servers can be setup with individual credentials making this process a matter of seconds versus the pre Remote Desktop Manager solution where it mend looking up the server info, and credentials etc.
By linking Remote Desktop Manager to our password manager system, we maintain full security while making it simple for our IT staff to connect to whatever virtual server needed.

Cons

simple way to adjust the window size after starting Remote Desktop Manager with small window
option to logout of servers automatic when closing down Remote Desktop Manager
support more password managers

in particular if not all are in the same domain or use the same OS (Windows/Linux, etc.)

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

As a password manager, password vulnerability checker for all my access to websites, social networks, news portals, payment sites, etc., and also as a software license control and expiration checker. It's a robust, reliable, and flexible platform. I can log into any site without remembering any passwords with auto-login, and it offers the option to export accounts and also import user accounts from JSON files.

To better manage user accounts and software and web app licenses, with full control over user registration and passwords, a password analyzer, password expiration dates, and a comprehensive password generator with XML support.It allows me to have full access to all accounts even if I can't remember the passwords, using data connections like remote desktop. We have many virtual machines (some windows, some linux some even FTP) and Remote Desktop Manager lets us seemely connect to each of them without having to contaly share details or logins...

Pros

Easy to connect to any sort of endpoint
Makes passthrough of devices or locations to that machine easy
Credentials are securely stored (or not) with many options as to how to best secure them for your needs

Cons

Occasionally there is a UI bug where the sidebar goes missing and you have to delete some files in %localappdata% to bring it back
Would be great if it could also connect to serverless SQL instances like Azure SQL
If computer sleeps and wakes with Remote Desktop Manager open it will comtimes ask you to re-login for no reason - as when you close and reopen Remote Desktop Manager it works

Likelihood to Recommend

Great centralized management of remote connections and the credentials for said connections - so makes repetitive tasks a breeze as you can just say "RDP onto the build server" without having to share or lookup all the details each time.

Support for a petrola of connection types makes it able to connect to just about anything, and it makes duplicating existing connections (to say log in to the same machine under a different user) as easy as a right click.

Remote Desktop Manager helps me easily access all of the remote instances I typically need to access. This includes several SSH sessions, some Remote Desktop sessions, and some web portals. The software makes it extremely easy to save passwords and duplicate entries needed. It is extremely convenient being able to access all of the machines I need in a single platform.

Pros

It is good at saving SSH sessions and the needed credentials so it is a single click to connect after the first connection.
I have used it to create multiple Microsoft Remote Desktop entries. This has saved me a lot of time over using the native Windows application.
The platform offers a very easy to configure cloud backup for your vault entries. I have migrate through several machines and done many resets and it is super easy to import my entries again by just signing into my account.

Cons

Really I am not a big power user so I don't have a lot to offer in this area. The only thing I always like to see is additional theme options. It has light and dark which is fine but more colors are always nice.

I think the platform is very good if you are often accessing several remote machines through a variety of methods. I access several SSH sessions, a handful of RDP sessions, and some web portals. If you are only accessing a couple of sessions then this may be more of a hastle than it is worth to use.

This is like the Swiss army knife of remote desktop managers. It can connect to anything including out of band management like iLo or iDRAC. You can use it for SSH, VNC, ARD, team viewer and more. It's a tool I use every day. Even the free version is feature rich.

The main reasons I used Remote Desktop Manager, is to manage all my servers and network appliances under one platform. It provided me with all the tools I need to manage properly. The feature to make a profile and access a group of devices with one user and password with proper security is every Network engineer dream.

Pros

Listing all devices under different groups for better arranging of zones.
Different access method like SSH, Telnet and HTTPS.
Creating one profile to access a group of devices with one username.
Accessing more than one device in a multiple window.

Cons

Managing profile sometime gets confusing with multiple devices.
When working with multiple windows it's hard to keep the windows open and manage other windows.
The option to add Switches and routers to be managed is great.

Remote Desktop Manager is the daily app that I use to manage my day-to-day tasks and activity. It makes me access all my servers and computers with one click thanks to the profile that manage the access details.

We use RDM for every engineer that needs access to our customers infrastructure. We use it for Servers, network equiment, VPNs, SSH, and also for our Content Management Database (CMDB) All the managed CI's should be in RDM.
We connect RDM to Pleasant Password Server for seamless integration with our password vault. This saves up lots of time trying to find the right password for each customer.

Different Connections possible (ie: RDP, SSH, HTTP(s) etc)
Steppingstone capabilities.
VPN integration
Secure!

Cons

I dont know, i'm pretty used to it for +-10 yrs.. Maybe responsiveness with the database could be improved
Support was oke when we needed it, but could have been quicker in response and availability

We use RDM for years now. We have been super happy with the integrations, capabilities and costs. For Acknowledge this is a great tool to service our customers, and also userfriendly for our co-workers.
I even use the free-version of RDM at home in my homelab. I would highly recommend the homelabbers amongst us to use RDM!

I am a Systems Engineer, I remote into servers daily, several at a time and several times a day. Remote Desktop Manager helps me keep my server list organized and each server easily accessible. I can safely store my list and sync it between machines without having to rebuild it or export/import on each machine where I use Remote Desktop Manager (RDM). I cannot adequately convey how much I appreciate RDM and how much it has improved my daily duties.

RDM for Linux lags slightly behind the Windows version in stability.
