Pros

  • Email notification of potential issues with incoming email including a nice overview of what was blocked and why.
  • Options are provided to view, release, block or white-list specific domains.
  • Reports can be generated for administrators to view the overall stance of Edgewave services.

Cons

  • More information could be available in the email notification that reports when email was blocked.
  • While trying to work with an application that sends email it can be difficult to determine why the email was not received if blocked by EdgeWave unless a check of their dashboard is made since notifications cannot be scheduled more than once daily.
  • The option to have reports sent more frequently is a much needed feature.

Return on Investment

  • Great way to help secure emails and keep customers from clicking on potentially threatening content.
  • Increased security footprint by detecting malware and viruses that could pose security issues for an organization.
