A great Text Editor and a good alternative to Notepad++
Use Cases and Deployment Scope
Edit+ is a great text editor and a good alternative to Notepad++. I use Edit+ as a normal text editor (instead of Notepad) and I also use it to write scripts (shell or python scripts mostly). It is very lightweight and has some level of customization available. It can open large files without lagging which is a plus. It also supports multiple languages, has syntax highlighting, and also tells about syntax errors in the programs I write.
Pros
- Lightweight and easy to use.
- Some level of Customization.
- Multi Language Support.
Cons
- Plugins Support
- More Customization
Likelihood to Recommend
Edit+ is well suited for basic tasks like using it as a to-do list or writing basic scripts or using it for simple programs that aren't too long or complex.
