Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Equalweb to add accessibility tools for all the websites we develop for our clients.

Pros

The magnify feature for people who are near-sighted is particularly helpful for website visitors.
Equalweb tracks activations of accessibility tools on all our sites from a centralized dashboard so we can get a clear view of the data.
The customization option of the accessibility icon is useful so we can match the color scheme of the site.

Cons

The 2FA to login to the account only has the option for an automated call, not text message or an authentication app. This can get annoying to deal with on the long run, especially if you access the dashboard a lot.
Sometimes, the pricing tool has trouble detecting the number of pages on a site we just launched (it's still counting the pages on the old site) so the pricing choices that are presented are not accurate and I have to contact support to get the correct pricing package in place.
The last price increase wasn't too cheap.

Likelihood to Recommend

Equalweb is well suited to most web browsing experiences, especially desktop. If someone already has a screen reader or accessibility tools, the functionality overlap might not be ideal.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We were looking for a minimally invasive accessibility solution for our customers. Equalweb didn't quite match up with our needs. At a basic level, we needed an accessibility solution that did not interrupt the user experience or take up on-screen space for users who weren't using it. Something triggered by a hotkey, basically. Equalweb wasn't a good match for what we were looking for. We had some 250 domains to enable accessibility software for.

This software did not work for us in a medium-sized digital marketing agency setting. Perhaps a direct end-user, like a one-site manager, would be able to make use of it better than we could in our setting.

Implementing Equalweb is very simple. It is fully customizable, easily adapts to our website design, it is available in 32 languages, it is also compatible with any content management software (CMS), including Wix, Woocommerce, WordPress, Magento, Joomla, Drupal, Squarespace, Google Tag Manager, Shopify and many more, offering an intuitive and seamless experience for everyone.

Pros

It offers great accessibility features that are 100% customizable and are available in more than 32 languages.
Easy installation.
Low cost.
It allows to adjust the functions or web pages according to the disabilities, needs or individual preferences.

Cons

Customer support is weak.

EqualWeb is a good web accessibility option geared towards full ADA compliance. It offers a 7-day free trial for people who want to try the product, they can access a wide list of features for free, it also offers automatic and manual correction, it is compatible with any software (CMS), including Wix, Woocommerce, wordpress etc.giving you added peace of mind knowing your site is fully compliant.
