EstimateOne

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

NRG Reinforcements use EstimateOne for our tendering process - majority of our new projects that we are awarded contracts for are found via estimate one - they streamline the process to make it efficient and accessible for employees through all of our departments. 10/10 would recommend to others looking to upgrade their quoting process and any subcontractors in general.

Pros

  • detailed explanation of the project
  • shows projects closest to you and where your business operates
  • everything is accessible from details to contacts

Cons

  • an option to follow up on quote / receive updates via EstimateOne

Likelihood to Recommend

EstimateOne has helped our business quote projects in every stage when we just started out with 7 employees and now in our phase of rapid growth. Great for all subcontractors looking to win some extra package awards

Specification made Easy

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

As a Specification Manager and Technical Advisor I find EstimateOne excellent in sourcing new projects targeted for specification as well as accessing specifications and plans for particular projects I have been specified on as well as ones I would like to be specified on. Building great relationships with estimators from construction companies tendering on commercial projects is another bonus with EstimateOne. Overall a highly recommended tool for those in the Industry wanting to make good leeway.

Pros

  • Document access to projects on tender.
  • Easy access to tenders and all commercial projects and their status.
  • Good communication details with estimators.

Cons

  • Relevant Project Contacts as part of the standard membership not an add-on.
  • Access to all documentation as part of the requirement for tenderers to upload.

Likelihood to Recommend

Sourcing much needed information and/or documents on a specific project is made easy with EstimateOne.

Looking for new opportunities to get in front of builders and architects? Use EstimateOne.

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use EstimateOne as an opportunity to tender for doors, tabletops, toilet partitions and any other project looking for FSC or bamboo ply material that we supply. EstimateOne has a terrific search filter (speci-finder) that we can use to target a range of products sought after in commercial projects, that we can match with and therefore submit a quotation for. It can be very difficult to get in front of architects to show them our range. EstimateOne is a worthy way of substantiating what we offer against other business as usual, and monopolized offerings out there.

Pros

  • Speci-finder
  • daily updates
  • names, email addresses of the contact involved with the actual project

Likelihood to Recommend

If you are looking for new opportunities to get in front of builders and architects (indirectly) then I think EstimateOne may be a solution, if you believe in your product and am willing to work on larger projects. If your product is niche or in short supply, you may struggle.

My experience with EstimateOne

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Source potential work to quote by our contractor. I mainly look for building and plumbing work. The portal is easy to navigate with a variety of jobs. It took a little time to work out how to source info such as plans, but now find it very easy to obtain the information.

Pros

  • variety of jobs
  • excellent information of each job
  • able to contact the businesses involved in the projects directly

Cons

  • want to find a way to focus on jobs in my area only

Likelihood to Recommend

Once you become familiarised with the portal, it is very easy to navigate. I have found the businesses I have contacted through the portal very helpful.

Estimate One: Easy to Use, Good Coverage for Available Work, Good Networking

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use multiple tender sites for accessing tender information on upcoming projects. I find EstimateOne to be the most user-friendly, while delivering the most leads for our company.

Pros

  • Good general converage of available tenders
  • We often receive invites from larger builders offering us work through EstimateOne
  • I find the most leads of all the tender site I follow, through EstimateOne

Cons

  • I would like a filter [criterion] that was more specific for our field of work, however, there is no other tender site that does any better, so I'm happy with EstimateOne.

Likelihood to Recommend

Generally, EstimateOne has good coverage of most areas that offer tenders, that I can see. Our company is quite specific in its tender requirements, yet I don't generally get an exact match for our field of work, the search function, and the ability to follow tender releases by the day [they] were released, allows me to pick up from my last search quickly and easily.

Estimate One is good, the main problem is that it is state based an not regional based. Cannot see why a KM radius from where you are located can work better than a state based subscription.

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We are using Estimate One to assess potential projects to build our business which is primarily rural, commercial, and industrial repairs and maintenance.

Pros

  • Project possibilities
  • Contacts and direct access to builders

Cons

  • Could do regional areas rather than state-based, we are based in Northern Victoria and we find it useless to have to pay for NSW access. We are not interested in anything more than 150 km north of the Murray River on the NSW side.
  • Subscription could also be regional based, rather than just state based.

Likelihood to Recommend

We hardly get feedback quotes from builders. EstimateOne should include a secret area on the site where we could match prices without disclosing to the person or company we are giving the quote to. For example electrician for jobs no #102656 quotes 1. $125,000 2. 135,000 3, $129,000; Plumbers jobs for 1.$69,000 2. $79,000 3.$ 89,000. It would be useful to see how competitive the relevant quotes for various trades are being submitted without disclosing identites.

EstimateOne is Number One

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use EstimateOne to manage all our Tenders and find the latest projects coming to market, as well as recently awarded jobs so our team can win more work. EstimateOne is by far the most intuitive and easy to use platform for everyone to collaborate and be more effective in keeping track of work. In an industry where technology has lagged behind most others, EstimateOne makes things easy with its simple layout and functionality - to top it off, Customer Support is impeccable.

Pros

  • Tenders
  • Collaboration
  • Directories

Cons

  • Cross referencing within the platform
  • Builders are not required to provide feedback on pricing

Likelihood to Recommend

EstimateOne is well suited for subcontractors or builders alike to streamline the process of tendering on projects. It is a fantastic platform for anyone really, whether you are starting your business and need to build a client base or have an already established business and want to find more projects to tender on. It can be difficult at times to know where you stand after submitting a price, a strong follow up process or CRM is something you should consider before using the platform to keep track of key contacts and jobs you have priced.

Within a 15 minute session on this portal, we are quickly able to ascertain the builders involved, relevant contact details & timelines. The biggest business problem it addresses is efficiency; the vendors and representatives we engage with respond the fastest out of all the portals we use.

  • The customer service team are proactive and return phone calls and e-mails promptly.

Cons

  • 5 free passes for $10,000,000 opportunities as a further way for members to experience what they will receive in the next level up.
  • Option to submit video testimonials.

Likelihood to Recommend

EstimateOne is well suited for project research, key contact details for vendors & is a core requirement for any sales role.
