A great service for managing in-house sickness absence!

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use it for monthly reporting capabilities in order for us to track sickness absence, and agency usage hours mostly. It helps us to see where our locations have particularly high absence and agency usage and address the causes for this, in order to be proactive. It is mainly used for HR and recruitment.

Pros

  • Collating large amounts of data
  • Making in-depth analytical data more easily readable and understood

Cons

  • It can be a bit clunky to use at times
  • Some of the reports take a very long time to generate
  • More custom reporting functionality

Likelihood to Recommend

It is most well-suited when analysing absence and looking for trends in order to be proactive as a business and address the various reasons causing this. It is less appropriate for maybe more financial based tasks, unless directly related to HR functions and processes within an organisation.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

The whole of our restaurant uses Fourth Analytics for payroll and recording employee information. We upload rotas weekly and then adjust them daily with information pulled from our T&A system. Weekly these rotas are closed and sent to payroll. We also use the tronc function. Staff are all added to the HR part and documents including right-to-work are uploaded.

Pros

  • Storing data on employees to save holding paper documents on site
  • Coordinating data from our fingerprint clock in and out machine to check hours worked against rota’d hours
  • Useful for recording comments and warnings on staff performance

Cons

  • Sometimes the website does not run smoothly. It can be very slow and crash while uploading information.
  • Compatibility with different browsers could be improved -- does not work well with chrome, for example.
  • Improvements when rehiring old employees would make this a smoother process.

Likelihood to Recommend

Fourth Analytics is just a great system for HR management of staff, the reports that you can pull from it are really helpful, for example employee anniversaries. It is particularly useful at working alongside other platforms such as our hiring system, Harri, and our T&A machine where staff clock in and out. I can’t really say where it is less appropriate as it offers me everything I need as the restaurant administrator.

Used mainly for HR management such as timekeeping issues, absences, documentation. Rota management - formulating hours & payroll.

Pros

  • Break down of hours in department costs.
  • Allowing access to contracts & other HR bits.
  • Access to payslips to go through issues with the staff.

Cons

  • Breakdown of costs in each Rota - SMP affects it.
  • The integration with recruitment websites still requires data to be put in manually.
  • Integration of importing Excel on the rota.

Likelihood to Recommend

The use of the V3 report helps monitor the hours in each department, so you can see where you stand against forecast and where you are currently. The comparison of the budget vs. forecast vs. actual for wage % is also an asset. In HR the fact you can retain copies of their contracts and proof of eligibility is helpful when dealing with legal situations.

I and my department use Fourth to check our payroll and also to book any holidays in advance. It is so easy to use it became my second social app to send notifications to other members of staff and announcements.

Fourth Analytics helps within the development of control and audit capabilities. It is fast and easy to use for any area you can think about, and once you start using it it becomes part of your day-to-day activity. Also, you can use it directly from your phone so you have unlimited access.

Fourth is used as a labor tool, planning and forecasting rotas around agreed budgets and forecasted sales. Using different reports to then analyze how we perform against these forecasts and LFL sales, as well as planing future levels of trade against labor.

  • Data transferable onto spreadsheets.

Cons

  • All reports clear and readable on multiple formats.

Likelihood to Recommend

There are many functions on Fourth that are usable. Different companies I have worked for have used different functions. Planning hours vs sales forecasts is a daily task that Fourth really makes easy.
