Recommendations
Users recommend considering whether your organization's BCM program justifies such a powerful and rather complex tool. They also suggest enlisting a cross representation of team members within your organization who can provide feedback and input on how Fusion Framework will function within your organization. Additionally, defining what you want and what you most need, mapping it out, and then letting the Fusion team help you get there is recommended. It is also suggested to find a consultant that can guide and implement everything in stages. Attending the regional RUGS event to get a sense of other experiences with Fusion Framework and to meet Fusion technical teams and experts who can assist with questions is recommended. Users highly recommend Fusion Framework for business continuity planning, describing it as a worthwhile investment. It is considered a fantastic tool to consolidate key elements to manage Continuity and Crisis Management programs from infancy to maturity. Fusion Framework is also recommended for data handling and management services, as it reduces the burden and helps analyze data and risk with ease. Users find Fusion Framework aptly suited for the works of a large firm and also a good launch for a small or micro firm. Other Risk Management services, such as Risk Management Information System (RMIS), are suggested to be considered in addition to Fusion Framework. Having an idea of how you want to implement Fusion Framework and being able to articulate how you want the system to function for your organization is recommended. However, integration with Workday should not be expected. It is suggested not to have in-house developers and instead consider more dedicated support with feature/functionality and integration along with better online self-help resources for users' convenience.
We use Fusion Risk Management primarily for our business continuity planning. Each department/function/process has a plan within the system and is used during a business disruption. Within these plans are business impact analysis data, required equipment/assets/applications, team information, and manual workarounds when we have a disruption. Also, we use Fusion Risk Management to track security incidents, risks, and other related threats to our Company. For reporting, we utilize the dashboard and reporting feature that shows us trends and give us more insight into what is occurring across our organization.

Fusion Risk Management is best for an organization that is focused and passionate about holistic business resiliency (business continuity, physical security, cyber security, etc.). You have to have a strong understanding of how relational databases work to be successful administering the system. For business continuity planning, it can be challenging to have multiple users in the system (due to costs), and many departments require 2-3 people, which adds up quickly.
