I use GoodSync for personal clients' selective data transfers and light data recovery cases. Last use was for a data transfer from a NAS device the clients lost the password to.
Pros
Cloud to endpoint transfers
Network data transfers
Folder/directory transfers with complex structure
Data transfers with de-duplication
Cons
For what it is, I can't find any shortcomings.

GoodSync is being used to perform synchronization and backup of individual computer drives and it is being used for single computers and server drives. GoodSync is especially useful when synchronizing drives to capture all the changes made from one drive to another. GoodSync can easily identify the files that have been deleted or moved and ensure a consistent file structure.
Pros
synchronization and backup
easily identifies files that have been moved
identifies deleted files and prompts user if there are conflicts
Cons
GUI can be improved
performance - mainly speed but this can be a function of the drive
a feature to identify new drives
Likelihood to Recommend
It is mainly because of its features and reliability. Even when dealing with large drives, after the analysis step, it can identify the changes that occurred between the backup or synchronization drive and the master drive and presents to the use the choices of what should be done about the changes. The user can accept the changes or tweak which the backup or synchronization will do. The SW will remember those decisions for future activities on the same drives.
I use several flash drives with software that is updated periodically, usually on one flash drive. I use GoodSync to update all the drives the same way so that no matter which one you use, you know where everything is and that it's up to date. I also use it to back up our storage NAS drive to another NAS device.
Pros
Quickly analyzes the drives and compares files and dates to give a complete picture
Gives you complete control over what to do with files that are similar but my not be matching. (same name, different size or date)
Cons
I don't really have any cons
Likelihood to Recommend
[It's well suited for] duplication of files for transferring to a new machine or remote usage but I wouldn't use it if you needed to keep those places up to date all the time as it only works when you run it, not continuously.
It is being tested and used by our IT Department. It would address syncing our shareholders and user files and allow us to process in a more timely and efficiently.
Pros
The moving of files in one shot between computer.
You can sync with other storage devices or computers
You can also use it to backup files.
Cons
Can't sync to Sharepoint 2016 at this time. Which is a problem since we are on 2016 already.
Likelihood to Recommend
It syncs very fast and you can schedule this out or do it on the fly. It's a good way to move data off to when someone leaves.
