No brainer for anyone that uses other Google products. Still a no brainer even if not.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

It's my primary internet browser. I've been a Chrome user since almost the time it was launched and it has been my primary internet browser of choice even on a Macbook. The integrations with other Google products make it super convenient to use - thinigs like copying android sms details (post-permission) and auto submitting codes to websites asking for login codes is quite useful. Several small engineering things like this have ensured that I don't use any other browser as my primary browser on all devices.

Pros

  • Speed
  • Integration with Google account, all Google apps - maps, mail, drive, etc and with several android features on my phone
  • Consistency across devices - history, activity and usage pattern preservation

Cons

  • Not about Chrome per se, but Google search is fast losing relevance and Gemini AI results are useless more than half the time. If search and information gathering moves to other paltforms, then eventually the reasons I open Chrome will reduce

It's the primary browser of choice for internet browsing and general internet exploration. It's not ideal for programming. I've had several scenarios where I've had to program browser behaviour and I found Edge to be more programmable - of course it stems from the fact that Edge is made by the same company that makes the OS for the devices where I've programmed. But for compatibility across multiple devices, consistency across sessions and user activity, and integration with other Google products - Chrome is unmatched.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We used to use Internet Explorer, all the way through MS Edge's first release. The compatibility issues Edge had with our banking and testing sites made it difficult to use. Websites behaved inconsistently. MS Edge was slow. Enter Google Chrome: Fast and stable. As more extensions came out, we used it more and more. The compatibility and stability the Google Chrome Browser offered us was superior when compared to MS Edge. We haven't looked back since.

Pros

  • Incognito mode is really just that.
  • Fast Updates and fast browsing performance.
  • Stability.
  • Very granular filtering options.
  • Multitude of extensions are available.

Cons

  • I would like to see Google Chrome over a free extension to run legacy Internet Explorer windows for older webservers, specifically associated with security cameras.
  • I really can't think of anything else - it is that good.

Multiple incognito windows are easily and effortlessly generated at will. This browser easily handles 30 tabs without a huge resource drain. Generally all banking and testing sties are compatible with Google Chrome now, so near 100% compatibility with all locations on the web.

Like Franks Hot Sauce, I use Google Chrome on everything!
