The Anthos platform aims to unburden operations and development teams by simplifying service delivery across the board, from traffic management and mesh telemetry to securing communications between services. Anthos Service Mesh, Google’s fully managed service mesh, lets users manage these complex environments.

Anthos Service Mesh is fully managed, and boasts robust tracing, monitoring, and logging features to give users insights into how services are performing, how that performance affects other processes, and any issues that might exist. Anthos Service Mesh supports a zero-trust security model by giving users the tools to automatically and declaratively secure services and their communication, managing authentication, authorization, and encryption between services with little or no changes to the applications themselves. Users can also control traffic flows and API calls between services while also gaining visibility into traffic.
