The easier way to create a form

Rating: 8 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Google Forms across our entire organization. Our company feels like it's a good way to get (anonymous) feedback for anything, like ways to improve our business, our company culture, and just team-building activities. I think it gives people the freedom to express themselves, their thoughts, feelings, feedback, etc.

Pros

  • Different answer options, whether it's open-ended, multiple-choice, fill in the blank, etc. This is nice because it gives the user different options for their responders to answer with.
  • Clear Results - After you receive all your responses you can clearly and easily read the results without having to try and figure out what everything means. It's all laid out pretty simply.

Cons

  • The design customization is pretty limited. All forms look the same and must look the same because there isn't much option to change things up.
  • Only "text" answers are allowed - respondents aren't able to upload any pictures, videos, etc.

Likelihood to Recommend

I think Google Forms is well suited in a work setting. It lets the creator get to the point with their questions and it's very easy for employees to use.

Simple, concise, and to the point

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Google Forms when we're completely surveys for our internal communications. We have a company book club and we use it for taking surveys about who wants to participate in it, and also our Employee Engagement team uses Google Surveys a lot to send out anonymous surveys about various work-related issues to allow everyone to feel like we can be open and honest with our responses while remaining anonymous. It definitely helps us to get employee feedback in a very quick, simple, and efficient manner.

Pros

  • It's extremely user friendly
  • Very simple layout
  • To the point

Cons

  • It doesn't look the most professional- while the simple layout is helpful for internal communications, I wouldn't recommend using it with clients or for any external commnications
  • Sometimes when you type a paragraph it continues on the same line and it makes it hard to see what you're typed so far

Likelihood to Recommend

Google Forms is a great tool for small companies for internal communications purposes. It's easy to create a Google Form and also to participate in filling it out. It's very simple, to the point, and doesn't have many fancy functions, for better and for worse. It's a great tool to use if you have to ask your company questions and need quick, short responses. It's also easy to read the results.

Google Form Quick review

Rating: 9 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Google Form to collect different kinds of data of the users and generate an excel file with that data. Google Form provides a reach set of input fields. It also offers various validations based on input and also gives us the power to create our custom validation. It auto-generates various graphs based on the user responses without any extra work. These graphs help us analyze different parameters directly into its response section. It also provides the feature of enabling and disabling the form with just a single click

Pros

  • It will help us collect different kinds of data.
  • Help us analyze and generate graphs for statistical data.
  • Input various kinds of validations in your inputs to receive user inputs and reduce junk data.
  • Generates an excel file of response so we can use it, modify it as per our need and share it with the team.
  • Gives the power to change the form on the go without requiring to change the form link.

Cons

  • Writing a script is a bit difficult in Google Form. For example, if I want to populate the next question based on the answer to the current answer, then it is difficult right now in the Google Form.

Likelihood to Recommend

Well, it entirely dependent on the scenario of use. But for me, it is best suited when I need to collect the data of hundreds of users with the help of Google Form I can easily do this by just creating a form and sharing a link with those users. Once I got stuck in Google Form when I want to send an SMS to the users who registered using the Google Form. So for this kind of situation, I think Google Form is not suitable.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Google Forms is used in many ways at my company. For my specific team we use it to capture new hire information. It helps us to gather the information we need to create a more streamlined and personal onboarding experience. We also use it to collect travel information so that we can build travel profiles for our new hires upon their start date.

Pros

  • It's easy to set up and manage.
  • It's simple for the user to fill out the form, I never get any questions or confusion on their end.
  • It's easy for my whole team to manage and make changes, we like the collaboration aspect.

Cons

  • I do question how secure the forms are at times, we have to be careful what information we collect with these forms.

Likelihood to Recommend

It's a great tool for companies that need to create templated forms that they use often. It's a zero cost option if your company has email set up through Google. It's all on the cloud, so the information is stored and you can revisit past forms and submissions. It may not be the best tool to use to collect certain sensitive information.
