We used Grovo as an additional training content library option for employee development and engagement. We made the content available via our Cornerstone LMS catalog as stand-along microlearning courses and also in bundled curriculum by topic.
Pros
drives performance and employee engagement
accelerates employee development
provides effective micro-learning content
Cons
More broader range of content needed in some areas
Likelihood to Recommend
Grovo is a great tool for creating tailored micro-learning lessons. Our focus was on manager training and it's one we have found our employees really enjoy as the library is modern and has real-world examples.

We currently use Grovo by Cornerstone within the Cornerstone OnDemand LMS as both a content provider and content creation tool. Several Grovo courses are part of a larger content package that Cornerstone sells for specific demographics or subject types. Additionally, a content creation tool that Grovo created before being acquired by Cornerstone is now fully integrated into the LMS. This allows you to create your own eLearning in the style of Grovo's microlearning tutorials. This fills two needs for our company. First, off-the-shelf content that is modern, quick to consume, and effective. Second, another tool to add to our creation kit to design our own learning.
Pros
Integration with the Cornerstone LMS
Visually appealing and effective microlearning on specific topics
Easy content creation within the LMS for your own microlearning content
Cons
Costly and often purchased with a collection of other content
Limited in its capabilities from an eLearning design perspective
Targeted/marketed as microlearning with no long-form content

Grovo's current catalog is vast enough for most business looking to expand their library of online learning content. This allows team leaders to easily curate content for their team using a curriculum or playlist structure. Grovo also allows novice eLearning designers to create their own content quickly using their design tool. Making Grovo a multifaceted tool to decentralize content creation and curation.
I've helped other organizations make purchase decisions. Grovo usually comes up as my #1 or #2 choice when my clients look for learning solutions. The platform helps you to easily assign content and due dates. The library of videos and learning material is vast. You can also add quick-view pages to videos so that users know what they are consuming. Overall, a very nice learning platform.
Pros
Easy and intuitive interface.
Vast array of videos and content.
Content sharing with colleagues.
Cons
Uploading videos takes a while.
Isn't suitable for fast paced organizations.
Likelihood to Recommend
Grovo is best for small companies that have a simple org structure. One can upload small videos and make content available throughout the company. A very good learning system for small organizations. This isn't suited for mid and large-sized companies.

We use Grovo for creating and pushing out a variety of training to webinars to all of the employees in the company. We use it company-wide and we love the fact you can create different training for different departments. We also enjoy the fact that anyone can create a training. It has helped us with training within the company. We have always been a training-heavy company but this has allowed us the ability to create more trainings for a variety of issues that occur and we are also using this with our clients as well and creating trainings for them.
Pros
Ease to create trainings.
Ability to insert GIFs and photos to help with visual aids.
Ability to allow others to create trainings.
Ability to track trainings (who has done it and who hasn't).
Ease of tracking all training done.
Cons
Continued ease of creating training.
Opportunities for others to add feedback to training.
Continued ease of tracking, this is super important to us.

Throughout our three years with Grovo we have used it to some very high abilities. We first purchased it to assist with training and over time we realized we could use for client trainings, tracking of information and ability to have others create trainings as well. It has been a great resource to allow us to make our training more robust and are always coming up with new trainings to add. This has helped with new hire trainings (so the managers don't have to do them live), client specific needs and all company training that is required. The ease to create these is wonderful and of course tracking that the training are getting completed is very important.

We use Grovo for creating training materials for our teams that are standardized and measurable. It allows us to provide ongoing training as well as onboard new hires, in a way that makes sure everyone is seeing the learning the same content. This is especially helpful since we have offices around the world and lots of remote employees.
Pros
Segmented lesson plans.
Specific team based trainings.
Cons
More aid in the creating of training modules.
It is hard to get employees to follow through on completion.
Likelihood to Recommend
It is well suited for teams that have dedicated people to develop standardized training modules for their teams.
We use Grovo to bring new team members up to speed on the workings of the company. We have replaced our entire in house training system with Grovo with positive results. Previously we had a system of reading and summarizing to impart new concepts to employees, this system took a lot of man hours to setup and maintain. Mid last year we made a transition to Grovo to see if we could cut down on the upkeep for our inhouse training system. After a few weeks of use we decided to switch the entire company training system over to Grovo. We have had stellar results thus far, information retention among employees has greatly increased. We have also received numerous comments on ease of use.
Pros
Providing information in a format that is easy to remember.
Facilitating user transitions with efficient retraining.
The micro lessons provide great flexibility for offsite and partial employees.
Cons
Customer support and sales training was a little lacking for our organization.
Specialized training in woefully underdeveloped.
Likelihood to Recommend
Grovo is fantastic for bringing a team of people up to speed and for teaching a few things to a large audience. We found Grovo to be lacking when specific training is required or when the training required a certain level of skill. Grovo is fantastic for broad training, less so for specific depth training.

Grovo is used by our whole company as a resource for employees to use at their convenience. For example, managers may use it in order to learn the best techniques to deal with certain scenarios. Each department may benefit differently by learning skills that are relevant to them, such as customer service skills or even compliance. Each employee has access at all times, and there are also situations where a manager may ask their direct reports to spend some time there.
Pros
Ease of Use. The site is awesome for searching for a specific topic.
Convenience. Lessons are generally very quick and easy to fit into even the busiest schedules.
Interface. The website is gorgeous and inviting.
Cons
Some videos/lessons leave a lot to be desired and could use more detail.
There's always more room for some more advanced skills.
Likelihood to Recommend
The ideal scenario for Grovo is for more of a supplement to real world training. Employees may know the basics of a software of scenario or may have known more in the past, but simply need to use Grovo as a refresher course or quick reminder.
I wouldn't really recommend using Grovo for the more complicated skills or situations, as this doesn't seem to be what it was designed for.
We used Grovo at my company so that entire teams and departments could learn various coding languages and softwares at once. It's a super helpful software that provides very easy to follow instruction videos (called lesson tracks) that explain the language or software, and follow it up with a series of short quizzes to make sure you understand the material. It does a great job of tracking your progress and gives you incentive to keep on going.
Pros
Lesson Tracks
Quizzes following the lessons, so the material is retained
Reports Progress
Cons
Could use a broader range of material
A more palatable interface (although it's still pretty)
Likelihood to Recommend
Grovo is well suited for learning basically anything. Since you can upload any material/ training videos you want, Grovo can essentially be used to learn...anything. Although, it's super nice that there are some built in micro-lessons where you can learn various material that's already onboard. At my company, our engineering department used Grovo to guide us through an SQL database querying bootcamp in which they provided the lessons and material. Grovo was an excellent interface for doing this, and I learned a lot in the span of that short bootcamp.
Grovo was used as the LMS platform for the organization with the goal of uploading our own content for use in conjunction with the microlearning courses that Grovo produces.
Pros
The microlearning videos are done very well and the concept is excellent and easy to use
Customer service was excellent. They walked us through their process and were always available to address concerns
The LMS is set up well for delivery of their content
Cons
The user content side of the LMS was clunky and difficult to manage.
Likelihood to Recommend
Grovo is well suited to any company that wants to train their staff on soft skills or hard skills. The service was excellent, the website ran well, the Grovo content was great and well produced. They did not fit well when it came to hosting our company's proprietary content.
