Heimdal Application Control

A whitelisting and blacklisting tool, Heimdal Application Control is presented as a simple way to gain full control over the files that run on corporate endpoints. The solution allows sysadmins to approve or deny application executions in multiple ways. Filtering can be achieved according to file path, publisher, certificate, vendor name, software name, MD5, and more, to give users complete authority over the application landscape in a network.

Heimdal Application Control integrates with the Heimdal Privileged Access Management module for an advanced AC-over-PAM approach to enterprise cybersecurity. This empowers users to generate wholly customizable admin sessions, while at the same time ensuring that sensitive memory areas are protected and lateral movement inside the network is blocked to achieve the safety of digital business assets.

Besides streamlining manual application management workflow, Heimdal™ Application Control facilitates the automation of application approval or denial flows for system files by allowing users to create or modify flows for individual users or groups, as well as establish default ruling in pre-defined cases. In addition to this, the tool’s dual operation mode enables users to choose between active or passive approaches.
