Dropbox Sign Makes It Easy!

Rating: 9 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Dropbox Sign to sign contracts between me and new clients. They make it super easy to quickly and easily sign documents with someone you are working remotely with.

Pros

  • Easily upload and organize documents to be signed
  • Allows you to add templates so you can save time
  • Makes it easy to place the signature boxes, etc., on each document
  • Quickly sends the document to the other party and reminds them to sign

Cons

  • I can't think of anything that I would like to see improved

Likelihood to Recommend

I think Dropbox Sign is for you if you are in need of a platform that lets you easily and virtually sign documents or contracts. Especially if you are working remotely with clients, this makes it super seamless to send new clients docs without them having to figure out a way to sign and return them.

Refused to Stop Auto-Billing or Remove Credit Card: Removed My Plan But Billed Me $1630! In my opinion, Unethical.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I personally feel so sick of the games and the run-around with Dropbox Sign. Called 4 times before I was billed asking them how to remove my credit card or stop auto billing but it was my experience, they did neither. In my experience, they canceled my plan but billed me $1630 anyways! I am personally disgusted by their lack of ethics. Also, I believe there are far less expensive options!

Pros

  • In my opinion, waste your times with customer support
  • In my experience, they bill you and refuse access to service

Cons

  • In my experience, customer service
  • In my experience, cancelling autobilling
  • In my experience, removing credit card without adding a new one
  • In my opinion, not holding people hostage to their subscription

Likelihood to Recommend

In my experience, it works for digital signing but so do dozens of other less expensive services with all the same features and more. Auto send sign request, etc. In my opinion, same basic stuff but fewer features than other ones like Zoho Sign, SignNow, and many other ones.

I am a loyal user and have recommended it many times to other potential users.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I generate agreements and have them signed by both parties to the agreement.

Pros

  • Cost is reasonable
  • Allows for fast execution of agreements
  • Provides a good electronic paper trail

Cons

  • I get a lot of bounce backs that are not accurate--the other party did get the document even though Dropbox says they did not.
  • I would like the distribution order to be more obvious--its easy to miss.
  • I have used HelloSign for many years. So far I have not seen any improvements over what HelloSign offered.

Likelihood to Recommend

Under HelloSign I had a lot of trouble with Customer Service. Hopefully it is better staffed and more responsive under Dropbox Sign.

For us, its a game changer in the remote world

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use it to send contracts. We are a remote company, so it makes it easier to get contracts e signed. It also allows us to track the progress of the customer signing. IE if they read the contract or not. It also has a super useful feature that will nude the customer about signing. Love that.

Pros

  • “Nudge Customers to sign”
  • Keeps track of contracts
  • Makes it super simple to build fields
  • Shows history of viewing
  • Alerts when signed by parties

Cons

  • I kind of like it I don’t have any issues.

Likelihood to Recommend

It’s great to get contracts signed. Not sure what else it would be used for.

Gets set up in a few minutes - simpler to get things done faster than docusign

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Makes it pretty easy to have business development leads to sign our NDAs, Eval Agreements, all the way to closing.

Pros

  • Importing documents works great
  • Templates are huge time-savers
  • Audit trail of all the events leading up to the signing of the document

Cons

  • Ability to download an existing template
  • Make signing with finger more natural

Likelihood to Recommend

It works really well for user interviews release forms that need to be signed with every call I take. It would be great to have it connect and automatically send requests for signature closer to the data of the calendar meeting.

Great signature tool.

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Dropbox sign to collect digital signatures on employee documents like contracts, amendments, and government forms. This allowed us to work completely digitally and saved a lot of work for us when we implemented it in 2020. At the time, I called it the best improvement to our Workflow for the whole year.

Pros

  • Ease of use.
  • Versitility.
  • Ability to work with templates.

Cons

  • Some types of templates only available with more expensive plans.
  • I wish invoices were sent to email.
  • I wish there were an integration with our ATS Personio.

Likelihood to Recommend

Well suited for a simple signature tool, for more complicated templates, we need to use another tool that integrates with our ATS and commission calculation tool.

Breezy Mondays with nonsense Signing.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Dropbox sign to sign artists, work for hire, royalty agreements, etc. As a record label, this has solved the problem of easily and painlessly signing artists, Musicians, and vocalists remotely. Only a small part of the music industry still uses a studio location, and most records are made 100% remotely and usually spanning several countries. The integration with dropbox is important as we handle a massive amount of large files on a daily basis. We would not function without a digital signing capability.

Pros

  • The ease of preparing the document.
  • That you can predetermine where the signed contract should be saved.
  • The signing progress is very intuitive even for inexperienced users.
  • Template capabilities.
  • Compared to Google Drive it's a breeze.

Cons

  • Mobile functionality, it's not smooth to prepare contracts on the go with a smartphone (android).
  • Be able to buy more standard legal templates.
  • Clearer signup procedure, I joined when it was two companies thou.

Likelihood to Recommend

Excellent for work for hire, not only remotely. When you are running a shorthanded management crew that requires high mobility and flexibility, when short training time is required, in some countries, we still need to provide a rubber-stamp, but those cases are rare. Some heavy legal documentation we still prefer to prep and sign some hands-on.

Great service.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Dropbox Sign for our student forms like enrollment and deenrollment. It's an excellent paperless solution and streamlines our intake process.

Pros

  • User-friendliness for signers and our business.
  • Straightforward functions on documents.
  • Audit trail is AWESOME.

Cons

  • Sometimes Dropbox Sign will update, and our forms will go from "just right" to "one or two bugs".
  • Clicking a document to see preview opens it when I just want to see the preview.
  • No option to save document under a new name when I download it.

Likelihood to Recommend

It is perfectly suited for anyone who is computer literate. Older people have a hard time with it, from what I've experienced. It makes our paperwork super quick and easy.

Fast and secure option for businesses of any size.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Dropbox sign to send and sign the contracts for media distribution as well as for our contractors and freelancers.

Pros

  • Fast delivery.
  • High quality documentation.
  • Saving and storing documents in one place.
  • Clarity for all involved.

Cons

  • To be able to store the documents in one appropriate folder automatically.
  • To let the sending party know when the other opened/viewed/downloaded the document.
  • Integration with email.

Likelihood to Recommend

We use Dropbox to send out contracts to the creators we work with; it’s super fast, clear, and secure. When it comes to advertising that involves negotiation, we rather stick to the “old fashion” format.

Grateful for Dropbox Sign.

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We currently use Dropbox Sign for our offer letters, some internal documents, and to sign external documents. Our current HRIS offer letter process is clunky at best, and our ATS is not advanced enough, so we use Dropbox Sign for a quick and seamless offer send-off. I also use it as my preferred way to request signatures from my exec team if I need signatures for a contract or agreement for a vendor. It's also my preferred signature platform when my own signature is requested.

Pros

  • Document signature progress status updates.
  • Document storage.
  • Final copy of 100% signed document.
  • Customization of fields.

Cons

  • Auto field detection on an uploaded document.
  • Auto sizing of fields.
  • We love to see ways to embed the product in our existing softwares.

Likelihood to Recommend

Well-suited for: Offer letters if your current HRIS & ATS are not quite cutting it. Signature requesting from your colleagues, especially when you want to happen in a certain order.
