Highly Configurable and Adaptable User Interface: Many users have praised the highly configurable and adaptable user interface of Infor EAM, stating that it is easy to use in various environments. The ability to customize the system to individual preferences provides flexibility and enhances usability.

This feature enhances overall asset management capabilities, allowing users to effectively track and manage their assets while ensuring accurate financial reporting.

HxGN Enterprise Asset Management was implemented to help with improving the effectiveness of the organization’s asset management solution. Specifically how we used the product was for managing equipment; some of these assets could be located at various buildings. Prior to implementing this solution many of the asset management was quite decentralized and thus tracking and reporting at a consolidated level was difficult. For example, some of the asset lists were kept using local spreadsheets and logs. Trying to get a view of everything, especially if assets were moved from one location to another was difficult. HxGN EAM provided a practical solution that enables better and real-time reporting. This help with optimizing operations.
Pros
Real-time reporting; this was an improvement on the stand-along Microsoft Excel-based reports
Integrates with Oracle; linking to an enterprise system help to link with the ledger
Generally user friendly; the user interface and navigation is relatively intuitive to use
Cons
Faster loading of pages (sometimes slow/laggy); for example, when logging into the page we found a lot of times the page would render for quite a while before loading
Better interface for mobile users; when opening the product from a mobile phone it was often difficult to navigate so there were times we just waited to get to a desktop
Likelihood to Recommend
HxGN EAM is probably better suited for larger enterprise solutions where there is a need for enterprise asset management. At our organization, we had a long asset list but also at multiple sites and building locations. With many sites, we found it difficult to sometimes track the assets. The HxGN EAM product allowed for a consolidated view as well as good on-time reporting that can also be customized for different parts of the organization or user groups. This solution generally integrated well with our organization; this should be assessed for your organization.

We are using EAM throughout the whole organization as a central database for all fixed assets. It is used both by technical groups as well as administration and finance (for financial depreciation). All interventions on our installations are traced in EAM, and for outsourced contracts, we are using EAM as the central tool for managing such contracts based on SLAs and KPIs defined in EAM. Spare parts located in storerooms are also managed with EAM, and material lists and pick tickets are used to prepare parts for technical interventions.
Pros
EAM is highly configurable and can be used to manage virtually any type of assets, or for more complex technical installations.
It is really simple and quick to configure, even for non-developers, such as business analysts and administrative staff.
The user interfaces are relatively intuitive (for being an enterprise application) and also possible to simplify and configure for specific users groups.
Cons
The planning functionality for Projects and Work Orders can be improved. There is, for example, no Gantt view for Work Orders available in the standard tool.
Likelihood to Recommend
EAM is a very capable application without necessarily making it a complex tool to use. The nice thing with EAM is that, thanks to its configuration capabilities, it can be implemented in a multi-stage manner where users can start simple and then later (and over time) expand the usage as they learn or better understand its full potential.

Our company recently started using Infor EAM software to better track our inventory and work orders in our maintenance department. We also use Infor EAM software to generate reports on our inventory and work orders to present to our executive team for review.
Pros
Easy form customization
Cloud based for simple access
Option to create multiple access levels
Cons
The update schedule takes some getting used to
Possible to accidentally lock yourself out of your own account (if admin)
Likelihood to Recommend
If you have a large warehouse with thousands of parts that you need to track and run reports on, then this software is for you. However, I would not recommend it if your business has no need for the tracking and reporting features.

We provide Infor EAM support to multiple clients in the manufacturing and fleet industries. We also use Infor EAM internally to log in and track progress of support incidents from our clients. Additionally, we provide implementation and consulting services for Infor EAM.
Pros
Easy to customize for specific needs of our clients.
Allows system administrators to develop custom reports with Cognos and make these reports accessible to all users, or specific user groups.
Easy to apply custom business rules using Flex SQL.
User friendly even to a beginner. I always say if a user can navigate an MS Office product, they can navigate Infor EAM.
Cons
Allow system administrators to manipulate canned Infor EAM reports.
Remove menus that were used in earlier versions so they don't get confused for use in current versions.

Newer versions recently released are ideal in the facilities maintenance industry. Coming from a major airport having this new module would certainly resolve many issues that are common in facilities management. With Infor EAM being so easy to customize for a specific industry, you always have the power to add or remove what you need or what you don't need. However, over time you always find a need to bring certain features back into service.
My organization uses EAM in a specialized way (product support versus maintenance). But we consult with and support several Fortune 1000 companies that use EAM for asset management. It is primarily used by the maintenance departments of the various corporations (manufacturing, building services, etc.).
Pros
Highly configurable and customizable throughout the entire system. User defined fields, custom data grids, custom links, the list goes on and on.
Strong Work Management program. The work order process can absolutely be configured to meet the client's process.
Mobile offering is fantastic. Use tablets (Android or iOS) to complete corrective work orders, PM work orders and even issue parts to work orders. These devices make it simple to take pictures and add them to the work order.
KPI's quickly display the most important data and In-boxes make it easy for users to get to their key processes quickly.
Cons
Infor Enterprise Asset Management doesn't step the user through the process easily. The user must already know the process and how to step through it. But I still don't see this as a very big issue.
Would like a separate mobile program to handle the parts side of the equation (receiving, put-up, counting, etc.).
The mobile program could do a better job of handling fleet assets. Currently, a lot of configuration and customization is used to get the mobile program to work appropriately in a fleet environment.
Likelihood to Recommend
Infor Enterprise Asset Management is definitely well suited for manufacturing. It handles fleet assets, facilities management and municipalities as well. It even does a decent job of equipment calibrations in the biomedical field. Currently, Infor has three releases of its EAM software (10.2, 11.0 & 11.1). They are updating it constantly. I see this as a very viable product for years to come.
