IBM Storage Insights

IBM® Storage Insights is cloud-based AI-driven storage management for on-premises storage. It provides a unified view of a storage environment with a diagnostic events feed, an integrated support experience, and key capacity and performance metrics. It combines proven IBM data management with proprietary analytics from IBM Research. IBM Storage Insights supports IBM block storage and over 440 external storage systems from IBM and others when used with IBM SAN Volume Controller, IBM Storwize family, or IBM FlashSystem 9100 and V9000.

Storage Insights provides streamlined interaction with IBM support. Features include Call Home, data collectors, automatic support for log uploading, and easy ticket creation and management. IBM support staff use read-only access to diagnostic information about monitored storage systems to proactively help resolve problems and provide recommendations.

IBM Storage Insights Pro includes all the features of IBM Storage Insights plus a more comprehensive view of the performance, capacity, and health of storage. It also helps you reduce storage costs and optimize your data center by providing features like intelligent capacity planning, storage reclamation and tiering, and advanced metrics.

IBM Storage Insights is free if you own IBM block storage systems. IBM Storage Insights Pro is available through a capacity-based subscription.
