In my organization, I use IFS Applications as an IFS Partner company where we implement IFS Applications to the companies, develop and configure solutions inside IFS Applications to cater the customer specific requirements and support and resolve issues inside IFS Applications to allow the existing customers to smoothly run their IFS Applications system. IFS Applications addresses most of the ERP system requirement of any of the organizations to manage their business day to day work.

Not every Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System does not cover all the industry verticals and all the functionalities and requirements for a specific industry as built-in features. Although IFS Applications does not completely cover all the requirements and all the industry verticals, it can be implemented for any industrial company with minimum configurations and customization, which is very good when implementing an ERP system. Since it supports web and mobile versions of the application as well, the users ind it easy to use.

IFS Applications is being used as an business automation tool in our organisation. Helping us to planned production schedule, perform SCM related task like Procurement authorization, Inventory tracking and in short, IFS Applications is our business processes digital twin. IFS Agile technology has really helped us to configure our business requirements internally even without going into customization processes.

IFS Applications is best suited for MRP processes whether you are in Project-based manufacturing or not. In addition to the MRP process, IFS Applications offers AI-based MSO component which gives a clear insight into Production schedule. MSO component suggests where we need to focus on the planned production schedule, tardy order information, machine downtime, or other manufacturing constraints. IFS Applications needs to work on certain areas like Project Budget functionality enhancement since it only controls procurement-related transactions only.

The system may work well for some industries, but it has failed my company miserably. They sold us on the fact that they wanted to enter the home services/construction industry and that they would work with us to build something that would work. We are over 2 years in and more than $1M invested and have nothing to show for it. We haven't even seen a demo that works and now we can't get out of the remaining 3 years of our contract. The VP of Sales, Mike L., only been involved after two years of challenges and shows no interest in negotiating a fair settlement. We are okay with forfeiting all of our expenses up to this point if they will just let us walk away. If you look at this system, make sure you have a good lawyer review the contract and if you are in construction don't even consider it.

Regardless of industry I wouldn't recommend IFS because of their lack of commitment to fulfilling promises. If I had to use them I would only use their accounting/finance platform and find something else for field service, customer engagement, etc. While the technology is not good, the professionalism and customer service are even worse.

IFS application was selected in 2013 to replace our old ERP system based on MFGPro, and often Excel exported files external to the information systems itself, to complete the lack of functionality of our previous ERP. IFS is widely used within our company that is oriented towards the video compression market and content delivery. Our clients are video broadcasters with business models more and more based on pure software services (SaaS) hosted on dedicated infrastructure ecosystems external to their information systems, and that still continue to buy hardware + software systems as part of our initial business model. IFS is widely used to drive order to cash processes (sales, presales, order desk, production, shipment, finance), TVN orders, TVN expenses sheets, with a well designed set of built -n tools allowing control, notification and reporting integrated to the solution.

Order to cash processes and scenario are implemented natively in IFS. An HR module exists for career management also (objectives, comportments, training, mobility) but may be improved in terms of workflow validation (e.g. training to validate by a manager) or reporting.

IFS applications solution was used in my previous organization by all the manufacturing plants and several companies across the world. The ERP solution was interfaced with the shop floors to seamlessly manage the manufacturing entries. It thus facilitated the reporting across manufacturing plants. The application facilitated the group's global financial reporting.

IFS applications are well suited for the manufacturing, defense, construction and engineering, services, and energy sectors. It provided an exhaustive end-to-end solution with a modular approach. IFS applications have evolved to IFS cloud solution that offers enhanced user experience.
