What is Kuaishou?
Kuaishou is an online video platform that allows its users to broadcast daily activities, habits, and more online.
It was launched in 2011 by Su Hua in Beijing, Beijing, China.
Powered by big data and artificial intelligence (AI) technology, Kuaishou allows the people of China to virtually experience the world through the sharing of short videos, photos, and live streams, enabling them to engage with fans from all walks of life around the globe while inviting the world into their homes.
Kuaishou Technology’s short video platform for the Chinese market, the international version of its app, Kwai, parallels Kuaishou with similar features, but offers localized functions tailored to users from outside of China. It has an average of 275.9 million daily active users.
While access to Kuaishou is free, the company makes money through selling virtual items that users gift to the creators of the videos, online marketing, and commissions from e-commerce sales on the platform.
