I think that Lobbytrack would be suited for most organizations that are trying to modernize their visitor management workflow. You would need someone with a technical background to make the most of the Lobbytrack feature-set, but you can get the core functionality of the system up and running fairly quickly. The product might be less desirable for an organization where compliance and security is a critical priority, as features like their SSO integration still needs to mature.

Especially where there are many visitors just one has to scan their identity and if the user had already registered it will automatically create a visitor badge No such scenario which I can think of where this was not appropriate.
We're a school. We use Lobby Track for issuing visitor badges and also to issue tardy passes for students who arrive late. Lastly, we have students who leave early check out. The killer feature is the ability to send an email to parents when their student checks in or out (many times as expected but sometimes unexpectedly).

Kiosk operation is very good. I wish we had an opportunity to provide more guidance/instructions for users new to the kiosk operations (it's easy but not intuitive... once we show the students, they're fine but I would like to get away from having to show them). Moving the license key from one computer to another involves generating a deactivation code. This is a challenge when the computer has crashed and we cannot generate the deactivation code. Doesn't happen very often but we don't budget for the replacement activation code and it's always a hassle.

We wanted something that looked professional, could be branded with our logo, was simple to use, allowed us to enter visitor info ahead of time, and had the ability to export the logs to save for our records.

If you want something simple, but professional, and allows you to customize what you want, this is a great app.
Can't really think of an industry where it's not appropriate...if you just want a last name and first name for visitor log ins, you can keep it that simple. If you need to have more information like company, reason for visit, who they're visiting, badge#, etc., you can set all that up according to your needs.
A firm I interned with over the summer used Lobby Track. I had to operate the system every so often. Everybody that came was a huge fan of the self sign in because it made the process of getting into our building very easy. In addition to this, my office also used Pre-Register Visitors for the certain guests, like prospect clients, so they could slide right on into the building without having to wait in a line and go through security. My office specifically used the Microsoft Surface Pro Tablet as our main device to get everybody in and it worked great. This software has a really nice and smooth user interface that makes it simple for a new person to pick it up and use it. Prior to this, we would just enter people using an Excel sheet, but that took forever and got very complicated very fast. Lobby Track definitely made registration simple and professional.

I'm used to filling out paperwork upon arrival to companies when I'm a guest. The process of doing so is both cumbersome and inefficient. Recently I visited a company that was using LobbyTrack to manage its visitors and I was surprised by how easy the process was. Before visiting, I received an email to preregister, and the process was very easy. Upon arrival, the checkin process was a breeze and the man I was meeting with was quickly notified that I had arrived. Very very efficient. This is not the first time I've used software from Jolly Technologies. Their other software Eventleaf Online worked great too. Hope to see more of their software implemented in new environments with frequent guests.

Lobby Track is very simple, versatile and easy to use. It is very easy to set up and very useful in our case as we have a couple of branches across the city. It not only allows our company to register, badge and track visitors but also it allowed us to centralize our data throughout the network.
At times we are flooded with clients/customers, we just hand out the tablets which are connected with our server running Lobby Track software and Lobby Track does all the magic by keeping all info at one place and all data can be viewed with a click of a button. This by the way helped us with better customer service and generate revenue by contacting our clients via email, SMS and calls, and informing them about our new offer, clearance sales etc. 5 Stars!
