Since you need a backup of your data in cases something goes wrong, I tried a couple of different programs. I finally stick to Macrium Reflect because it is easy to handle and reliable. Each time I needed a copy of a certain drive, it was easy to restore the data. So far, in over five years I didn’t encounter a single problem.
The program could reduce a bit the space it takes for its backups.
It should be more affordable.
Likelihood to Recommend
The program has a lot of features. I like to backup or clone entire disks or operating systems. You may of course also just select a range of folders and files. Furthermore, you are also able to create backup templates, schedule them all and deploy full, differential or incremental backups. The only disadvantage I see is the lack of cloud backups.
I use Macrium for disk imaging tasks and to produce accurate concatenated, compressed copies of volumes, sets of volumes, and/or disks.
Pros
Image drives/disks/volumes.
Provide incremental backups through imaging.
Provide mountable disk or volume images.
Cons
I can't think of anything which needs improvement at the moment.
Likelihood to Recommend
This application is best suited for a 1 to 1 disk image of a healthy drive or volume. While it can provide backup capabilities, it's not a backup solution.

Some users are currently using Macrium Reflect backup windows partitions to have an of the OS to restore in case of any hardware crashes, virus attacks, etc. The application is easy to set up. It reliably makes a backup of partition(s) and restores them without issues. I also like that its speed of backing up and restoring is excellent.
Pros
Speed is excellent.
Easy to setup.
Did not face any issues till now when restoring.
Free version available for commercial use also.
Cons
Some of the features can be explained in the program itself as some are a little too difficult to understand.
Likelihood to Recommend
Macrium Reflect is one of the best partition backup applications available in the market. It can also clone drives in addition to making images of partitions and has a very useful feature of creating a bootable recovery drive for restoring partition(s) in case the OS is not booting. There are also different products for varying needs of the end user- Macrium Reflect Server, Workstation, etc. I have restored my system without any errors many times with Macrium.
We use Macrium Reflect internally to create drive image backups of our computers and servers. We also advise our clients on the selection and use of Macrium Reflect to protect their businesses. Macrium deserves our recommendation for our customers because it is more intuitive and less complicated that many other similar applications.
Pros
Clear interface for creating drive image backups
Reliable, every day backups
Accessible log showing successful backups and any failures
Creates differential backups that are small in size
Fast, easy method for recovering individual files or folders from an image backup
Cons
Capability to create an image file to restore directly to a cloud computer
Use a different default naming pattern for backup files
Support for Linux
Likelihood to Recommend
The free version of Macrium Reflect is licensed for both commercial and personal use. It works well on MS Windows computers, but cannot back up servers, where a paid version is required. The free version does full and differential backups, but not incremental as do the paid versions. If a large volume of files are added every day, a paid version would be more suitable as it supports incremental backups. The Macrium Reflect server version is very suitable for backing up physical servers.
Macrium Reflect takes SQL database continuous backups every 2 hours and takes server volume backups and stores them in our repository to virtualize the image, mount it, or recover files.
Pros
Virtualize images to restore services
Mount backup images to restore files
Takes incremental backups pretty quick compared to other software
Creates synthetic full images well
Cons
Has ransomware protection that could be better at letting users configure exeptions
Likelihood to Recommend
Macrium Reflect creates synthetic full images for fast recovery in case of disaster. It also works pretty well on creating SQL server database backups. It can send a report of taken backups and failures to get users' attention if backups are being taken. It has a good management interface called Macrium Site Manager that connects to installed agents on different servers and has 1 site management configuration for all site servers.
