ManageEngine Device Control Plus

Device Control Plus is a dedicated endpoint security solution for enterprises and SMBs, that equips IT admins with a centralized console that allows them to automate all tasks related to device control & data security. It aids in monitoring and controlling USB and 18+ peripheral devices as well as in setting specific file access restrictions. For all managed endpoints, device connections can be instantly detected and classified as blocked, allowed, temporarily allowed or trusted. Lists of trusted devices can also be created for easy management. According to the vendor, all devices are blocked by default but for permitted devices, policies can be further configured in order to delegate file access privileges such as 'read-only' or 'copy.' If devices are allowed to copy data, admins can also place transfer limits based on file size and type. For enhanced data protection, all device and file actions will be extensively traced and logged in real time. Additionally, file shadowing can also be

implemented to create and safely store replicas of critical files that were transferred. Numerous reports including both file tracing and shadowing audits will be provided on-demand or on a scheduled basis for in-depth, forensic analysis.
