MessageGears - Good if you're an engineer

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use MessageGears as our main email marketing platform. The intent was to utilize the platform for highly personalized and segmented marketing campaigns to support our brands.

Pros

  • The MessageGears Support team is very helpful.

Cons

  • The platform is extremely literal. Every possible scenario (included unsubscribes) must be written into every audience query.
  • Messy user interface
  • Email development is overly complicated.

Return on Investment

  • IP Reputation issues because the system is so literal, we've accidently sent multiple versions of an email to the same people.
  • Difficulty tracking revenue because there are no real built-in reports
