Monday is customizable and what you make of it.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Monday for lead management and project management for our team internally. We keep all notes about a project on Monday. We also use it to send automated emails to our clients and free up our administrative time. Finally, we use it to send reminders about billing and reviews.

Pros

  • Sending automated emails.
  • Keeping lists of clients.
  • Flagging specific dates for when you need to contact people.

Cons

  • Sometimes, it's a little technical to set up. Someone who isn't particularly savvy will have a hard time setting it up.
  • Sometimes there are glitches in the automations.
  • The comments areas can be confusing- how they nest. Things can get lost in there.

Likelihood to Recommend

I find Monday helpful for lead management. It's great because details like phone, email, and addresses are specific columns from which we can grab data and pull it into other areas. It's great to see who is assigned what and to know what the next steps are for your leads. We use a different scheduling tool with our team, as that calendar view isn't as robust.

monday dev an up and coming tool in a space that needed a shakeup

Rating: 9 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

monday dev is the primary tool that we use to run our development organization. Previously we used an internal tool that lacked many things we needed to grow as a development organization. Now that we are using monday dev we have grown it to all facets of our development and product organizations as well as our customer-facing teams that are directly adjacent to the research and development teams.

Pros

  • Ease of use without training
  • Ability to build multiple views for different teams
  • Ability to build many different reports

Cons

  • More customization in automated tasks
  • Ability to send visual snapshots of reports and dashboards
  • Integrated reports from dashboards in dev and work management

Likelihood to Recommend

Monday dev is well situated for any company. With the current feature set that it has it is much more geared toward small to mid-size companies. As they continue to grow and develop more features the use cases and ICP will change to larger companies. It is also well-suited for companies that need a project management tool and an integrated dev tool.

The automation features and task-tracking templates are indeed top-tier and save a lot of time and energy.

monday dev, as good as its brother Monday.com!

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

monday dev ends up being just as efficient as its counterpart Monday.com and based on the use we have developed in the last 6 months, I have to say that it is a relief that for web development it is a great help for the organization and optimal accommodation for the workflow in 100% remote organizations. Many of the communication aspects as well as organizational ones (especially when working with code) tend to have a significant improvement with the assignment and real-time visualization of how the product is gradually being put together in the different areas.

Pros

  • Managing specific objectives
  • Automation
  • Integration and interaction with GitHub
  • Scheduling and feedback effectively

Cons

  • Integration with specialized codes and panels for dev (Emphasis on the Web section)
  • Change theme/UI in a more friendly way for each of the team members
  • Web Performance (It is often a bit of a struggle to run the website on browsers like Firefox, Opera and Safari)

Likelihood to Recommend

If you do web programming, code integration with your remote team, and/or software development that requires real-time monitoring of development progress, monday dev is an excellent tool for this. Like its base platform, Monday.com, monday dev is developed and attempts to integrate into a very "new era" organizational system of digital whiteboards, only now focused more on productivity and helping developers to be comfortable in remote work.

Phenomenal Tool

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We’ve used it more as a backend tool to support manual labor tasks including video sharing and automation tasks. We uploaded our videos to our platform and then using the dev tools and forms, we were able to have the system select the chosen video. Once the appropriate video was selected, then we were able to drop it into a form that was also created on the platform and finally, send it to the requested party. The tools also allow us to open and close the selected video for a chosen amount of time and track the number of clicks and views.

Pros

  • Ease of use
  • Intuition
  • Automation

Cons

  • The initial portion of being able to tie it to our hosting site for videos was difficult but that could be due more to that platform instead of monday dev.
  • Identity automation issues - not always the easiest.

Likelihood to Recommend

Like the actual platform itself, it is relatively easy to use. There a few bumps along the road but for the most part feels rather intuitive.

Awesome Service

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I always used Atlassian services, but once I changed to monday dev, I had a much more pleasant experience. It was easy to use and team members also did not have issues, so I really recommend it. We were able to switch plataforms easily and later on we managed to have a better overall view of our progress.

Pros

  • Tracking
  • Changing Status
  • Backlog

Cons

  • I am happy with its current state

Likelihood to Recommend

I always recommend it since it's easy to use and all the ways that we can check progress and have our dashboards. I like how easy it is to use and to customize even ongoing sprints. I do not see any particular scenario where I would not recommend it, finding it less appropriate.
