Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Works for years without any problem. It's easy to install, easy to use, with reliable and fast-reacting support also available for remote sessions. It is great for our structure, where the backup storage is directly connected to a single server and not in the same network as our virtualisation machines.

Our company has used NAKIVO Backup & Replication as its backup solution for over seven years. From the beginning, I have appreciated how simple and intuitive the software is.

I have rarely needed to refer to the documentation when performing basic backup or restore operations. The online help for advanced features is well-organized and descriptive.

Support for Microsoft 365 and Proxmox are among the most important features added over the years.

Using the NAKIVO Backup & Replication solution for backup gives us peace of mind regarding data protection and business continuity.

Very easy to install, configure and use.
Fast recovery at VM and file level

Cons

Backup to tape is slower than other available solutions, which is why it is not a viable option for us
Compression and data deduplication algorithms could be improved
Space reclaim is slow

Actually we were looking for a more cost effective solution than the current one we use. Also another factor was to consolidate within one platform Virtual infrastructure backup and backup for Microsoft Office 365. We looking also for more deployment flexibility which is something that is offered by NAKIVO Backup & Replication solution.

Easy to deploy and manage
Very competitive pricing compared to equivalent solutions from VEEAM and Druva

Cons

MAC OS Support.
Monitoring additionally of other hypervisors like Hyper-V and Proxmox.
Provide storage capacity as well for each user (in License bundle) so it can be directly comparable with other Backup Vendors.
It would be nice at least for me to see smaller intervals which makes the monitoring more realistic.

Less people to administer since it includes backup for MS365 also
Less cost so our ROI has been achieved within 6 months of operation
Deployment flexibility was a significant factor for selecting NAKIVO Backup & Replication
