We used it to simulate power electronics circuits and design various circuits. It's necessary to simulate circuits before actually implementing them and testing then at various voltages and other parameters. Simulating in Multisim let's us know if the circuit is correct and gives various output parameters parameters which can be compared so that circuit elements won't get damaged based on limits.

It also has various examples in the library which make it easier to modify few params instead of designing circuits from scratch
