Making reservations for business meals. Most times they're not planned so it helps to have an app where you can make a reservation for 30 minutes later without the hassle of having to step out and call the restaurant. It also helps select the restaurant because most people have used OpenTable personally and they can see the restaurants' information, pictures, reviews, etc.
Pros
Reservations are reliable.
Options are well organized and that speed decision making.
The ability to save restaurants I liked.
UI is clean, color scheme looks good.
Lots of information about the place is provided, including specific price range and safety precautions.
Cons
Having more places on it.
Better suggestions by location. I live in the border with US and even though I open the app on the mexican side, it suggests US restaurants.
Likelihood to Recommend
It all comes down to budget and options. Most places that can be found in the app are in the upper price range, so if the company is paying for the meal we immediately look for something in OpenTable. If each one of us is paying for its meal, the selection process might be a bit longer and we might have to make the reservation via phone call or just show up and hope we get a table.
