The Oracle Application Testing Suite is a legacy suite of tools. Oracle Application Testing Suite 13.1.0.1 shipped in 2017 was the last major release. Since then, two minor releases 13.2.0.1 and 13.3.0.1 were released with only smaller sets of new features.

It is a very useful software to improve the test results.
Pros
- In the test suite, I loved creating a ServerStats monitor.
- It allows to use the available metrics and the generic metrics, and the load test can be run without problems and compare my absolute values.
- It has the ability to clone measurement profiles this feature saves a lot of time and money in the test environment. I used it for my Oracle and SQL databases, web servers and APIs.
Cons
- Its interface is not as easy to use as it could be.
- The price is a little high, it is made for large companies.
- It requires a lot of knowledge and training to be able to use it well. This makes the learning curve very large.
Return on Investment
- It had a positive impact, reduced work times and allowed much more precise tests.
- It has allowed more extensive tests with performance-based tests, in addition to regression tests and periodic tests with each software version.
- Automate test cases even before the implementation of an application. This can be done by scanning objects from UI models and screenshots.

Oracle Testing Suite - How sweet it is!
Pros
- Load testing. We are able to simulate the load that production environments have within the testing environment. Without this capability, we would not be able to predict how the software will behave in production as we can never have sufficient users to test in this manner.
- Functional and Regression testing is made much easier also. OAT has the ability to automate the key strokes of users so that we can perform more in-depth testing which we would never have the time or money to perform.
- We are able to obtain testing scripts via this tool that we can review and enhance future deployments.
Cons
- It takes a great deal of time to capture the data that we require for the tool to work. We do this via OEM.
- The product requires patching like any other piece of Oracle software and so we have some maintenance overhead.
Return on Investment
- ROI is positive in that we save hours of time measured in contractor time and functional user time to test.
- We can obtain scripts that automate very complex business transactions that we can review and edits. This is invaluable as we have a great deal of turnover and require a quick means of obtaining a baseline.
- Reduction on of manual testing. Because of the automated features, we do not have to test for months prior to deployment. Easily has cut our testing time in half.

- For daily monitoring a custom database may need to be built for reporting needs

- Tooling and lack of integrated suite to have everything in one place.
Return on Investment
- Not a good option whenever it comes to parallel regression testing.
- Suitable for database upgrade testing as well as major upgrades of the E-business suite applications.
- Selenium Forums do not provide many solutions for the issues.
- Sometimes Maven throws issues where there is no compilation error though pom.xml throws some error.
