Dependable data backups made easy
Use Cases and Deployment Scope
Although Paragon Hard Disk Manager offers several different functionalities, we use the software primarily for creating backups of our data.
Paragon Hard Disk Manager enables easy and reliable automated regular incremental backups to drives in our Network Attached Storage (NAS) device. The ease-of-use and reliability of this software facilitates execution of our backup strategy.
Pros
- High reliability. With Paragon Hard Disk Manager, we are confident regular backup jobs are executed as configured.
- Ease of use. The graphical user interface is logical and polished.
- Detailed and informative user manual.
Cons
- Paragon Hard Disk Manager meets all our requirements for a straightforward and dependable backup software package. I cannot think of any significant areas for improvement at this time.
- One small source of annoyance was the use of some abbreviations used in the user manual (unfamiliar to us) when we first read it, e.g., WAIK, ADK, WinPE. However, we resolved this issue with a simple Google search.
- One way of dealing with the above abbreviations is to include hyperlinks in the user manual so that persons unfamiliar with these abbreviations may be taken to a glossary.
Most Important Features
- Intuitive user interface that is streamlined yet effective
- Reliable data backups to our network attached storage (NAS) device

Return on Investment
- Paragon Hard Disk Manager makes creating regular incremental backups straightforward. The ease of configuring the software to automatically perform backup jobs increases the likelihood that we will follow through with our backup strategy, thus protecting our data.
- Any loss of important data would potentially be catastrophic to our business. Paragon Hard Disk Manager minimizes this risk.
- The software's ease of use also means we can focus more on our core business activities (and spend less time and effort on data backups).
