Pixabay is an excellent resource for when you need a high quality photo for a blog or website without having to pay an expensive licensing fee. It is a great resource for people and businesses that do not have the time or budget for generic photo shoots. It would not be ideal for a situation in which you need exclusive imagery as these photos are accessible and use by anyone. It would also not be appropriate if you need photos of a specific product or individual.
We us Pixabay to support our content marketing efforts --- blogging, social media posts, downloadable content, and some of our website photography.
Pros
photo variety
free photos
copyright free
Cons
sometimes the photos are TOO general and we need something specific
looking TOO stock-photo

I think pixabay is definitely a competitor when it comes to a stock photo website, and they're on my list of recommended and go-to sites. Are there some that are a bit better? Yes. But I will say there are some that are definitely not as good as pixaby, either. 7/10
Pixabay addresses the need for free stock photography and images that do not need royalties. The best uses within my organization are for sharing photos, graphics, videos, and illustrations. In the companies I have worked for this has been food related. The other great thing about Pixabay is the minimal restrictions within it.
Pros
Videos
Music
Vector graphics
Cons
Sometimes it does not have too many pics.
Lack of diverse music
Ethical restrictions

On Pixabay there are around a million unique users each day. sometimes the support is not what it could be, sometimes, however, it is great. They also have a great FAQ page and interesting blog posts that are easy to digest. Tools are easy to use. Great accessibility. Good content, with good results.
We use pixabay to save money purchasing stock photos. We use their free arsenal for our marketing material. It gives our brand a professional look to have nice, color coordinated photos. It’s neat how each website has their own set of free pictures that you can scavenge through, and pixabay has a pretty good collection.
Pros
It has an easy to use interface. The web page is very easily navigated.
It is one of the most reputable for free pictures and widely known
It is best of all free for a lot of pictures!
Cons
It could offer more free pictures. I often have to look across multiple sites to get what I want.
It could be more variations of pictures rather than one photo shoot.
It could offer some kind of artist collective where artists are able to post their pictures.

If you are trying to save money and have more in your hands, then pixabay would be more appropriate. If you were trying to save time, not money. It takes a long time to find the pictures you need. I would recommend Adobe stock if you are looking to find a picture faster.
I use Pixabay primarily when working with blogging. We strive to have at least 1 image in every blog, but that can get extremely taxing on both your time and your wallet. When I can't find what I want, Pixabay has a fairly good hit rate of getting me something close to the content. Basically, Pixabay is a great resource for images!
Pros
Easy to use.
Free
Great design
Cons
Login required for free download
Search is questionably good
Relies heavily on tags.

Pixabay is great when you need an image quickly but don't have access to a premium subscription service. Or, a less likely alternative, you just can't find what you're looking for on stock, and you're looking for one last shot somewhere before coming up with a new idea. It's less appropriate as a primary source of images if you're going to be doing a lot of publishing.

When writing blog posts I use Pixabay for free photos to avoid copyright issues. A colleague recommended me as she had actually had that happen to her using pictures from Google. Pixabay offers a variety of different photos for most occasions and is super quick and easy to use to find images to boost SEO. With a quick search, you can see hundreds of pictures, I usually find only the first couple of pages are relevant to the search and they don't have any specific scenarios, those are behind a paywall
Pros
Variety of photos
Good quality photos
Easy to use for blogging
Cons
For some searches- it doesn’t have many options to choose from
Medical pictures are a bit lacking
Most pictures are general and difficult to find relatable pictures for some blog topics

I think the free version of Pixabay works great for blogging to add a picture or two to support an article. In certain instances, for example, when creating a website- you may want to pay for the upgrade so you can access the higher-quality photos. Most of the free ones are pretty generic and basic compared to the paid photos. If you're looking for something specific, you may not find it. Canva and platforms have more options.
I use Pixaby when I want to find free good quality images. We use them to create scientific divulgation videos and help our YouTube channel to get more views. We also use the images to make divulgation posts in our Social Medias. This product is addressed to the problem that we sometimes have of finding images without Copyright.
Pros
Provides excellent quality images
Provides free images for all purposes
The website is good translated for Portuguese
Cons
It could have more free images.
The prices for paid images could be better in Brazilian currency.
Users without sign in should be able to leave comments to review the images too.

Pixaby is excellent to provide beautiful free images. It's awesome to use if you want to make a commercial product with low costs. Pixaby is not so good in providing specific free images for some areas, for example, if you want a very specific image for something that involves some machines used in Molecular Biology or Med School.

Music is also available to use in promo videos and tests. 4. 4k Videos can be used for designing UI, apps, and websites. 5. We can use all the assets everywhere.

As a designer and marketer that serves several small businesses and nonprofits, I often have a limited budget when it comes to stock assets. Pixabay has been absolutely AMAZING for this.
Honestly, I would say that I find exactly what I need 95% of the time searching for free images on Pixabay. And their images have full commercial licenses, which eliminates all the extra work of determining how many times the image will be reproduced and how that affects the licensing tier.
Pros
Cost - as images are free and in the public domain
Premium recommendations for commercial stock photos
VERY easy license terms
Cons
Would like to see more premium options when there are few free results
Search function could be improved; I often have to try multiple keywords to find the perfect image
Would like more visible tags to see the geographic location images, as I often use these for locally-focused flyers for events around the country.

This is perfect for any individual or organization that's working on a budget. You'll get stock photos that, while there's a more limited selection than the usual paid sites (Getty, iStock, etc.), are often just as high-quality. For smaller businesses and nonprofits where every dollar counts, I've found myself leaning on Pixabay quite a bit for stock images and, from time to time, will end up buying one of the linked commercial images when Pixabay doesn't have what I need. However, if you have a large budget for stock images, Pixabay will likely not be your best choice, as the paid services offer generous discounts for bulk credit purchases.
Pixabay is the most portal for images, videos, and photos. I use this for several years for my project, internet website, and content creation. I suggest using this portal, to use immediately photos in several formats. Very useful is the video, also in several formats ready to use for your website, blog, and creation. There is also an app, that you can use directly from your smartphone. This is my website where you can see several images that I download from Pixabay. A tip that comes to mind, it would be useful to have images associated with tags and more free images related to digital education. But I realize that it is too tied to my work but it would make the research more targeted and punctual.
Pros
Quick to find pictures
A huge database
Professional content
