QNAP NAS

I have used QNAP NAS both personally and professionally to share files with Family and friends at home and along side a Camera System, File SHare, Backup Solution in industry. QNAP has great Access permission options, RAID for redundancy and also a load of Sync and accessibility features to give customers all the tools they need to get whatever they need done!

I've been using QNAP NAS for a while now, and it's been great for my home setup. The interface is pretty user-friendly, even for someone who's not super techy, but there are plenty of advanced features to dig into if you need them. Setup was straightforward, and I love how easy it is to access my files remotely. The apps work well, and I've had no major issues with performance. It's been reliable, and I feel like my data is secure. Overall, it's just a solid piece of gear that does exactly what I need. Highly recommend! 10/10 from me!

We use it for a file share, but the first reason is for backup. We have many installations, even in the data center of our cloud provider. For backup Virtual Machine (usually snapshot) and for our Oracle and Sqlserver production databases. We use Smb, NFS, i-SCSI directly attached to the machine (for disk quorum cluster), and so far nothing to complain about.

We save a lot of money using QNAP for the backup of Virtual machines. We installed a QNAP in the datacenter of our Cloud Provider and the cost of the backup and storage that we use is, at least, 1/10 of the cost that we had in the past. We can choose what kind of drives we can install, so if we want affordable we can use 5400/7200 hard drives, if we need speed we can use SSD drives.

In MY organization QNAP NAS is being used only for technical reasons. For example as IT dept when we need to backup a customer's pc because is damaged or infected, we made a VEEAM image on the NAS via network. So it's easy to recover or extract data and it's fast. QNAP NAS offers high quality at right costs. We use it also to stock old data that need to be judged.

QNAP NAS are efficient, are very durable I think I never replaced one of them. I use it as IT Dept to save customers pc with Veeam backup if I need to reinstall them or clean them from viruses. I use it in my customers' organizations to save the entire pc's, in some case also small business servers or customers with 1 or 2 VM's. We use it to share but we prefer to set up the NAS with a "secret" user to prevent ransomwares. I think the best feedback I can give to QNAP is that I never, never repaired or replaced a QNAP NAS. That's really good I guess.

We have been working with QNAP NAS devices for more than 11 years. As you know, storage solutions require more space every day and must be available at all times. When we received the first of the QNAP NAS solutions, it managed us very well for 3 years and met our expectations. When we realized that the capacity of the first device we bought was not enough and that we could produce very different solutions with the QNAP NAS, we immediately bought our second device and it has progressed in this way and now we have 3 devices.

I recommend the QNAP NAS device because it is a simple solution that responds to requests. Simple here does not mean that the product is insufficient, it is designed in such a way that you can easily reach a solution. For example, you can perform a failed disk replacement within 30 seconds without connecting to the interface, or you can start taking a backup of a new user without ever logging into the system.

QNAP had been a great addition to our network storage over the years, together with other products. QNAP is currently used with great storage as an additional back for our servers via network. It is also used to store data that we do not need on a daily basis since it has a massive storage capability. It addresses all business needs for storage and the possibility to scale as needed.

QNAP is extremely suited for organizations that want and need to expand their network storage in a safe manner and as a cost-effective solution. It provides a lot of security when it is correctly setup. Units with capacity for 8 or more hard drives can be setup as RAID 10 giving the possibility of 2 hard drive failures yet with all data protected.
