An excellent choice for embedded analytics on cloud

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I managed the implementation and maintenance of Qrvey-based analytics as an embedded module in another software product. Qrvey is an ideal tool for the embedded analytics use case, as almost every component of the solution can be embedded, either as an iFrame or as a script element that adds the appropriate component directly to the page. In our use case, the customer was looking to embed surveys, analytics, and a chart builder directly into their web app.

Pros

  • Embedded charts and surveys.
  • Workflows or automations based on new data or alerts.
  • Integrated surveys and analytics.

Cons

  • Merges between heterogenous datasets can occasionally be problematic
  • The dashboards/pages are already very powerful, but more interactive elements would always be welcome.
  • The administration of a Qrvey instance and underlying datastore can sometimes be complex, but the Admin app helps make this a smooth process.

Most Important Features

  • The ability to embed a chart builder, not just charts.
  • The ability to keep data in our own AWS account instead of sending it to a 3rd party server for charting.
  • Row-based filtering based on account permissions.

Return on Investment

  • In one implementation, Qrvey helped our customer quickly achieve feature parity with competitors, reducing churn.
