I am a Quadient developer. I use Quadient Inspire to create forms in a billable project. Quadient Inspire helps to make templates which can be reused according to the business requirements, so we need not to create whole forms again and again, thus Quadient Inspire improves the reusability aspect of our work. The scope of my use case is limited to creation of forms/templates inside Quadient Inspire.
Pros
Helps in creating consistent content
Improves the reusability of the content
Helps companies to remain compliant with the govt. regulations
Omni-channel communication is possible through Quadient Inspire
Cons
There should be an easier way to create bullet points paragraph style
If a same element is dragged in a layout in multiple places, and we want to change the positioning of the element from one place, the positioning of all the elements gets changed instead
In Interactive, we cannot choose to create a table with more than 20 rows. If we want to, we need to first create a 20 row table and then manually add rows into it
There should be a functionality in which Interactive or Designer suggests the table style after scanning a photo/jpg file of the mockup form

Scenarios where Quadient Inspire is well suited - When we want to create some content which can be reused, as we create blocks in Quadient which has some data in it, and these blocks can be reused. When we want to create consistent content and want to deliver it through omni-channel medium in large volume, as Quadient Inspire makes delivery of large volume communications possible, and it does so in mere seconds. Scenarios where Quadient Inspire is less appropriate - sometimes it feels like editing in a Word document is easier than Quadient Inspire, e.g., when we need to add bullet points in the content.
We use Quadient Inspire to create highly personalized color and b/w pieces for our clients. These become part of larger campaigns providing information to consumers. Their software works with all major inkjet and digital printers. It supports all major formats with the flexibility to complete everything we ask of it. The feature set within the software has no comparison within the direct mail and fulfillment industry.
Pros
Handles massive quantities of data
Endless coding possibilities and variable options
Quickly and efficiently creates production files
Awesome end user development and training options
Support group knows the software. Frequently answers requests same day
Cons
As they are the best and they know it, the software is pricey
Software is complex. That is both good and bad, without training you cannot use it.
Likelihood to Recommend
Quadient Inspire is well suited to complex processes and requests. It is very well designed software which includes numerous plug in options for ease of use with other software. They have built in security functions to protect intellectual property and prohibit unauthorized changes. This software is great for people who need control and large feature sets or work with quantities in the millions. Of course, it also works fine on smaller projects.
Where it would be overkill is for environments which only need simple variable pieces. Just setting up an address block? If this is your regular job, this software is excessive.
We use Inspire all day, every day. From basic names and addresses on postcards to complex campaigns with highly customized documents and procedures. The slow speeds of other applications are one problem that Inspire handles very well for us - it's really fast. The ability to connect into a database is another great advantage. A more general response is how robust this platform is. It handles every challenge we throw at it, and we recognize we're only using a small fraction of what the software has to offer.
Pros
Extensive data manipulation
Easy to configure output for multiple devices, both print and electronic)
Great logging of processes so you can trouble shoot problems quickly.
Cons
There are some UI issues we hoped would be resolved in R15 that weren't, it would be great to see those resolved.
Seems to struggle to run smoothly on the Mac platforms.
We have a "sheet backgrounder" module, would LOVE a sheet foregrounder one. We have work arounds but would love to do that natively.
Likelihood to Recommend
We do use it for smaller jobs, and it feels a little bit like an overkill, so management asks us if we're using the right tool for the job. It's a valid question.
I use Quadient Inspire all day, every day. It allows me to create extremely complex variable documents for high speed printing and emails. We take data sent by the customer and take their requirements and turn that into a printed piece or an HTML.
Pros
Manipulate data
Merge data into documents
Allow variable text
Cons
Ability to export a report of scripts and variable flows in a simple format (not xml)
Likelihood to Recommend
Well suited for creating high speed variable printing documents and emails. The scope of the types of documents is limitless: marketing postcards, brochures, letters, statements, books, invoices, product sheets, emails, text messages, etc.
Verified User
Employee in Information Technology (51-200 employees)
I currently use Quadient Inspire Designer and Inspire Automation to securely create some of the worlds most complex and confidential documents. This is both on an ADHOC basis (just designer) and repeated automated work (Designer and Automation combined). This is the best on the market that we have used at achieving both of these goals.
Pros
Easy to use document composition modules
Scripting module for more advanced user needs
University of users and employees of Quadient to assist
Powerful processing
Great for both physical and dynamic communications
Cons
The occasional endless loop crash (Probably more to do with my coding than the software though)
Likelihood to Recommend
Quadient Inspire is suited anywhere that creates and distributes any type of content out to the public. This can either be physical documents or via dynamic communications. This software will revolutionise the way that you engage your customer base. The software while fairly user friendly will need some experience in the software or some training at the beginning.

Each player (vendor) in the CCM space has a certain feature where they are a great fit for an organization. With Quadient Inspire's suite of CCM solutions, those features other vendors specialize in, are included. Minimal need for having a plethora of document management solutions in an organization.
We use Quadient Inspire throughout our organisation by a number of teams, from our studio, transactional teams, internal systems dev, my team's Professional Services, as well with some of our proprietary systems. We use it to deliver dynamic solutions to our clients challenges and needs. It gives us the power to deliver projects that our competitors can’t deliver within our agile timeframes and complexity.
Pros
Data processing, you can do things quicker and safer than with other tools
Dynamic content, the ability to drive complex dynamic documents completely data driven
Produce multi channel communications such as DM, emails, notifications, micro sites and SMS
Integration with other systems and tools such as Salesforce & Litmus
Cons
The HTML module isn’t the easiest to use so my development is often twinned with Dreamweaver
Designers pixel units don’t stack up with Dreamweaver so it’s takes a little calculation to get your desired HTML look and feel if using layout module
More free training especially for new users
Likelihood to Recommend
Any document and data composition it’s great for and perfect, for HTML development not so great, but you can circumnavigate that by doing your development in other tools until you need to work on your variable HTML content
