Sennheiser Epos ADAPT MB660 - Premium UC headset
Use Cases and Deployment Scope
Used as part of a number of headsets for Unified Communications on Skype for Business, Zoom, and MS Teams. Facilitates video and audio conferencing from the desktop/laptop and mobile phone (via Bluetooth). We needed to provide a decent experience for the same and crucially avoid the use of an in-built laptop microphone/speaker, which is the last resort.
Pros
- Active Noise cancellation
- Clarity of audio (far end speakers)
- Build quality is premium and headset feels weighty
Cons
- As these are over the ear/enclosed, they are very effective, but long periods of use can end up meaning you can get sweaty/uncomfortable. Difficult to improve on this situation other than to switch between using these and an external Epos desk speaker.
Most Important Features
- Active Noise Cancellation
- Ability to connect more than one device simultaneously (laptop/mobile)
- Audio/mic quality
Return on Investment
- For production/broadcast users, this compares favourably with dedicated music headsets but is more reasonably priced.
- For staff on regular VC/AUDIO calls, this has been seen as a very capable premium headset that pays for itself in terms of build quality/audio quality and battery life.
